well since launch control is gone nissan has a new software for the gtr allowing it to rev to 2k in stead of 4k which the gt-r quater is still 11.5 and 0-60 can be had at 3.5 seconds.

I heard the LM would get something closer to 620 PS, that by way of a tweaked VK45DE V8 and RWD only. The target weight does seem accurate, though.

that setup is used in the GT500 GTR nd that engine is specifically for racing nd will not go into production for street cars i mean cmon it idles at 3500rpm nd is very vanuerable to the cold not to mention the cost of it.

Actually, the setup used for the GT500 spec GTR is being considered for the "LM," which in order to race in either FIA GT races, Nissan will HAVE TO make the car rear-driven. Since Nissan already has a variant of the GTR that uses the same chassis for GT500 that is rear driven, it is highly likely that a variant of the GT500 will appear as the LM in both racing AND in homologated production models.

yes but there r two LM versions a street production nd a race one. for the race version yes it will probably be worked off the JGTC GTR but the street version is not it will be worked off the GTR line at Nissan then prob sent to NISMO. personally i think they should let NISMO take care of all higher grade GTR eg V-spec, evo-spec. nd put them into full production. like if the Z-tune was in full production itd be fastest round the NUR but they cant count it cause of limited num. it might hapn agan

Actually, in order to meet homologation requirements, the street version has to have the same drivetrain as the race version or the car cannot enter into FIA GT racing. So this would necessarily mean a rear-driven, (possibly V8) GTR. You're right that Nismo should/would probably have a hand (a BIG hand) in the making of the LM. Mind you, when Nissan made the GTR, Cosworth handled the engine tuning and Lotus handled the Chassis tuning so who knows what will, really.

this is just a photo-shopped series of pics. there is no evidence that Nissan is producing an LM version. the only alternate version of the r35 being developed is the Spec-V. although i've heard that Nissan's Infiniti design studios are penning a sedan based on the GT-R's layout and will utilize the 3.8L TTV6 in a more upscale leisurely vehicle...
