Hey, im 15 just started a ReefTank, with a 103liter tank, been running for 4months, its time to start adding corals.. any idea what clowns go into what anemoie
love the tank i have a 120 gallon that ive had for around 8 months not as many diff corals but i like the set up! What brand of T5-HO lights are you using and how many bulbs and watts total do you have?
Fish collecting is not the only problem. Corals around the wrold are in decline, that is a problem too. The energy use of tanks is another. I've been told that a tank uses as much aa a small refrigerator.
Not Cool. Coral reefs around the wrold, especially Hawaii are being decimated by fish collectors for aquariums. Fish in tanks live a much shorter life than they would in the wild. In Hawaii you can now only see some of these fish in tanks as they have been taken from the reef in such great numbers that they no longer exist in the wild.
@konafishlover THE PROBLEM ISNT WITH THE CORALS AS WITH MOST CORALS U CAN BRAke a piece off and grow more and more. its the fish that are cause for concern. it will be outlawed soon though. i only get fish that are tank bred. easier on the fish and the oceanic ecosystem.though not all fish can be tank bred. like angels for example
It's sooo awsome my friend fayrania123 has a really funny star fish! We were on the phone and she said "Oh my gosh my starfish blew up again!!" LOL my tank is only 10 gallons ):Oh well you did an awesome job on your tank!
your lucky! i have a 60 galon saltwater tank and i have live rock but were do you get those purple plants....... please right back and were do you live so i can go to the petstore you tell me were it is..
i have a 38 gallon that has been setup for 2 months now. I have a problem with mine though. I have a a magnetet brush that i use to clean the tank. Im supposed to clean it every 3-5 days. Now when i clean the algea off the glass about 3 hours later the glass is covered in algea again. I dont know what is causing the problem. I tested the ph and nitrate in it but it comes out good. Do you know anything that i could do to fix it?
Beautiful aquarium. That is exactly the way I want my 55 gallon tank. But I have to get things set up a lot better first. Do you have any tips on keeping my water clearer. Any tips on the type of light I should have? Tips on the type of refugium light I should get for my tank. I put a pair of occelaris clown fish together.
Whats a good hardy starter fish for a Saltwater tank? im still working on learning how to take care of a 10gallon tank the ill move up to 50gallons and then ill replace it with salt water. good idea?
First off, Bigger tanks are always easier than smaller tanks. I did a 55 before i tried to do a 30, and now a 20. Are you doing a reef tank? Fish only? Whats your budget? You need to figure these out first, salt water tanks are expensive, but you can save money if you do your research. Judging by your name, if your under 18 (maybe 16) your going to lack the knowledge and time to set it up right.
At 2:33, Isn't that a problem anenomie known as aptisa or something?? :/ I really don't know, i'm still learning...Or is that a frag or a more wanted kind?? :)
I like the coral at 2:43 :) Is that brain coral? I'm sorry i'm asking so many questions :(
very nice tank. well done for the work you have put in. I'm a reefie to and would like to share a video of my tank with others. see it on here at: "marek's reef aquarium" :-)))
Hey man great tank!!! i was wondering how you made this video so bomb like what program did you use??? and what kind of camera. I have a couple videos my self but yours is amazing
The Mandarin is beautiful- I'm considering one for my tank. Love the set up and this video is a perfect reflection of the serenity that is saltwater aquariums. Excellent job!
wow your fish are beautiful... the corals and seagrass are great... I'm not too far away from my own saltwater setup... I'm about to submerse myself in that project for a little while.. good luck to you and thanks for the wonderful vid.
Even as a kid,I could sit and watch fish in an aquarium for hours.I would forget all troubles, and just submerse my mind in their world. Thanks for this vid :)
Changing saltwater is relatively simple. You just use a synthetic saltmix and filtered freshwater. For large tanks, most people have plastic trash cans to mix a lot of water. Or, you can use filtered natural saltwater. Most people siphon out detritus and unwanted stuff while changing out the water.
unbelieveable tank, uve really setup a great environment, the fish look really content and happy. whats that fish called with the flapping fins, and that walks on his lower fins? facinating fish, reminds me of the lung fish, they look related somehow.
eh the tank looks great, good job, i just got a new 135 gallon tank made, ive never done saltwater, do you have an idea of how much salt i should add to start out? thanks
You make me sick..........with envy and jealousy mate! fantastic set up and everything looks so healthy. I was lucky enough to swim in the red sea and this brins back memories. Good work mate.
