I would guess you live in USA, so I'll try to give you another point of view: After WW2, USA became our heroes. 60 years later, and after 8 years of Bush, even the strongest believer in America was giving up. USA had changed from beeing av peace keeping nation, to a nation lead by an president who easily would go to war for oil reserves.

Something changed: Instead of axis of evil, you got a president calling for peace through cultural understanding, telling Russia who started rebuilding their rockets during Bush, to mutual disarm number of nuclear missiles. In every corner of the world, USA and peace was beeing said in the same sentence. It matters more than taxes in your own country. PEACE AND LOVE, OBAMA!!!
