Great stuff and I agree with kapdrums, Joe Chambers is really a monster on drums, piano, vibes, tympani and as a composer. A true underrated master musician and not just a drummer.
He recorded his own & played on a lot of great Blue Note recordings in the early 60's on the East Coast. Then he went to the West coast and formed quintets like this one with Harold Land and then Teddy Edwards on tenor. Maybe the tune is named for Teddy Edwards. He's a great vibe player but for me his earlier records playing with the great East Coast musicians Tyner, Henderson, Hancock, Chambers etc was a lot better than his West Coast music. It was 'deeper' & 'heavier'..
Great! I really dig this quintet setting-Vibes, Tenor sax, Piano, bass and drums. Sweet and sour sound......Thanks for shearing this incredible music. By the way, I am a tenor sax-Flute player. Thanks again.

I've seen these guys in a few clips. Is there a DVD out with these songs played by these guys? I like the clip of "Blue Note All Stars"...excellent.

The tune/composition title is "Teddy", NOT terry. It's written as a homage to his youngest son. Five bad mofos...
