Just saw her perform this on the Emmys and had to find it as I missed the begining....it made me smile through my tears as I listened to it several times.

I lost my 18 yo son in a car accident in 08' .... I have said many times and feel EVERYDAY that theres a " hole in my heart " and there always will be. But after hearing this poignant & beautiful song, it helped a little to see this " hole in my heart" in a new light. You are forever with me my precious Alex....

This song may be on her new country album. I've been reading her blog on her website and she said she recorded a demo for her country label. She said this song was too sad her new Lullaby album, but hopefully will be included oan upcoming album, probably because of the great response from fans who saw this performance

We drove in from Detroit to see this show in Windsor, Ontario on Jan 23, 2009 and when she sang this song I felt so surreal, my Mom was in the hospital. I wasn't even sure why we went to the concert, but I thought it was ok to get out for a few hours. My Mom died that night, so suddenly a few hours later. This song will forever mean so much to me. I will love her forever.
