hey man, i'm trying to figure out what kind of pick ups to get, and i'm not sure whether to stick with passive or go active. what kind of actives do you use and any suggestions? i want something that will have bring out my harmonics especially

@UltimateImperium i realize i kinda worded it wrong, but what i mean is that they just don't produce as solid of a tone as passives, and they have a lot of back ground noises. I was actually lookin at some of the passive marzio's, i heard they were good

@blake256789 Actually they have more output because they're active, and unless the pickup isn't functioning properly, they'll have more "bite" or a solid tone as you said. I guess the simplest analogy or comparison I can give between actives and passives: Passives=more classic rock sound, Active=more metal sound. I love the clean sounds from both too. It's all up to you, if you're pretty against getting actives, don't do it! My buddy's Ibanez Prestige has DiMarzio's and it sounds pretty sweet
