  • is that priz thing still opinen if so what transformers are left?

  • @sherlyprime the contest was over January 31st but there's a new one that just started that isn't over until February 29th! all the winners of last month's contest have been contacted already.

  • noooooo i really love your reviews , so sad im gonna miss you optimus. red and blue forever

  • @allentonian1 reviews will continue, collecting will not.

  • @jon3pnt0 thats awesome thanx you make me crack up or i mean optimus does wink wink ( that wasent a gay wink) later

  • I tip my hat to you, Jon, for your word on Stop Motion. It really is a wonderful hobby, and its always cool to see more and more people trying it out :)

  • @CCScorseseVideos it's difficult but when done well, very very cool.

  • I love the story about your son. I think this really adds to the legacy of the impact that Transformers has had on people. And you, sir, are a man among men. Thanks for everything you do.

  • Well I hope you'll keep doing 'Prime Reviews' every so often. By far and away, those are my favorites. You should review the Dark of the Moon 'Ultimate' Optimus. That way you can have Megatron review it and have him say, 'Ooooh, who's the pretty little butterfly NOW Optimus? Who's a pretty little butterfly??' :)

  • Great video! Its all about having fun great hobby. That's why we do it keep the videos going bro.

  • I understand what your going through

  • I enjoy your video reviews and my kids 6 and 4 1/2 think the Prime Reviews hilarious. They have me go down your list to watch them all. I am a child of the 80's loved the transformers then, bought all of the old cartoons and watch them with my kids and the newer shows too, the ones they ask to watch the most are the 80's as well as the toys they like playing with the best are the 80's ones as well. Just wanted to say thank from me and my kids for the reviews, they can't wait to see more.

  • @AltimusPrimeG1 it's my pleasure. optimus and i will try not to disappoint. ;) i have to keep it clean enough for the kids and make it entertaining for the adults as well.

  • well do you at least play with them still? I collect to play with them, with my kid too.. if i feel like sharing XD

  • @Teddywolf sorry. i don't "play" with them anymore. they sit unused until i use them to make a video or play with my kids when they're playing with their's.

  • What is up with the guys who troll around and say..."Was this recorded on a potato?" I mean wtf I'm positive your not the god of video making....

  • i do feel the same about toys and passing it to my kids.i have lots of old toys that my dad gave to me and i still have'nt opened it and im only 9

  • Well said Jon.

  • Did you record this with a toaster?

  • respect man youre awesome!

  • one of the most inspirational 15:41 mins of my life.

    you sir rock hard

  • God bless you Jon! and Thank you!!

  • ill take youre starscream and optimus prime masterpice and leader figures

  • Respect man, respect.

  • hey you doing a job good

  • I've always loved transformers, I remember my parents telling me of how they hunted down the g1 optimus prime for christmas when it all started in the 80's; my parents' loft still contains a large cardboard box full of my transformers; my parents didn't have much money, I have Optimus, ultra magnus, all the g1 combaticons and seacons etc, and I still remember getting metroplex for christmas after the movie was released, I fully understand the link, and O.P's death still makes me cry lol

  • You rocks!

  • man, you are the best ;_;

  • I have 3 daughters, a wife and lots of TF's. My wife bought almost half my collection 4 me. We r never 2 old 2 enjoy Tf's, some of the homeboys off the block come thru 2 my crib and c the collection and lose it, i have 2 beat them back with a bat, becuz they always tryn 2 touch 'em and that's a no,no. Even the hardest cats n the hood love Tf's, so u r never 2 old, keep on doin' what u do bruh, i dig ur prrime reviews and stop motions,Peace!

  • much respect to you sir.

  • Great stuff man you can definitly use your gifts for a greater purpose real dope vid man.

  • There's nothing wrong with playing with your toys. I make "pew pew" noises while playing with my MP Ultra Magnus and Rodimus.

  • where did you get the ark play set i've never come across one for sale?

  • Awesome video man

  • A touching viewpoint and great video Jon. I can't wait to see your stop motions and I promise that TBA will continue soon!

  • Really interesting video and subject. I always reasoned that my collecting was no different to how my grandmother collected little figurines. Except, instead of teddy bears and tiny ballerinas, I had robots and men with big muscles. And strangely enough, I also have quit collecting TFs, so go figure

  • Great story and interesting points about autism. Thanks for sharing, Jon

  • Yeah, my parents were not pleased with He-Man either. To be fair, it wasn't nearly as cool as GI Joe or Transformers

  • Cool video Jon. I try not to collect too much. Or if I get fed up with it I either sell it or donate it.

I'm similar to one of your sons. I love the feel of different textures. Heatwave the fire bot (transformers rescue bots) is my favourite to hold. I like the smoothness and the ridges and bumps in the plastic.

  • great story man. Your an awesome dad.

  • keeping it real! cool jon,, you da man!!

  • my nephew is 14months and ive given him my ROTF leader optimus to play with. he loves it! always driving it around making the truck engine noises. i cant wait til hes a bit older so we can play with my transformers properly, even though there are a few in my collection i cant let him play with until hes alot older, i do have lots of generations and animated toys we can play. plus he likes music too, which works well given my other large collection of instruments

  • Azreal is a villian in the end though!!! :o

  • I "collect" in a similar sense you do in that I only collect the ones I like. And sometimes when younger kids (i.e. my nephews) come over I let them play with them.

  • I have a rather huge collection myself. Like you, I pretty much buy them loose and some are in much better shape than others.

  • I disagree on your definition. A collector is someone who collects something. It may be a very specific set, but it is still a collection. The person who has to get everything is a completist.

  • very interesting video. I too feel the same way about passing things on to my children. Thank you for sharing.

  • hey can i suggest something for a stop motion? KREONS TRY TO TAKE OVER THE WORLD (and/or cybertron)

  • this guy just finally matured and became an adult

  • WOW what an insightful video thank you for opening your heart and your home to your fans Jon.

  • Well spoken Jon. I also wanna pass down my collection to my kids when im old enough. I also didnt get anything from my parents so i have had to get all the stuff i have. not just transformers. but my coin collection and my new car collection. And in no way should anyone lable you as a nerd or emo. People who pick on others for many things have issues themselves.

  • @optimus304 i also have a very small coin collection and an enormous Ozzie Smith baseball card collection i want to pass on.

  • @jon3pnt0 I suggest make a video on your coin collection first. Also does this mean i should count you out of raiding your brothers garage? Just think about it? It would be ocean 3.0

  • oh my god your not collecting transformers anymore? it really is the end of the world AHHHH!!! nah i kid.

  • That is awesome dude. You've got Prime as a parental help.

  • .if you ever need to sell figures let me know.i consider myself a toy collector but in all honesty i might not do this forever.i might stop in 5-10 years or who knows.my childhood was full of toys, since my family spoiled me a little.my father and 2 other brothers all bought me marvel legends and the like a.i feel the same way you do man.i kinda teared up a little though when you did the prime vioce to your son.i see you a lot differently now,but as you know i really enjoy your work.

  • I like prizes. Awesome

  • man..that alot..lol....

  • Great vlog dude, i dig the real talk. Such a trip how your son listens to Prime. Makes sense. I def consider myself a toy collector, but I do buy more now for the sake of reviewing. They're fun to make.

  • Oh well I still love ya John... EVEN THO U BETRAYED US LOL!!!

  • That's a great collection, just hate the blur in your camera.

  • I am so freaking jealous about that Ark playset.. They don't seem to be producing those anymore. Well, they haven't SAID that it's out of production, but no one ever has them in-stock. *sigh*

  • I loved the story about how you used the Optimus Prime voice to get your son to put his seat belt on. There should be more parents like you and I don't mean more parents who do voices but just more parents who find non-violent ways to deal with their kids misbehaving.

  • You been a inspiration for all of us, and really appreciate your honesty and your tips voice acting. I like your ravage puppet videos. Also, been tinkering with puppets for since 6th grade and volunteered at vacation bible school.

  • I am own transformers and transformer them but, would consider myself a collector. But a person that enjoys toys. After this year ill probably won't buy anymore transformers.

  • Oh and total "Good Dad" points for the Optimus Prime moment with your kid, you have my respect

  • Rock on, Jon, keep up the great work :]

  • :(

  • It's safe to say that I have been following your videos for some time now. The really surprising part is that I see a lot of similarities between you and I where I haven't other Transformers-related fans. For me Transformers started out with the toys but turned into something more (less toy related, but still with a specific toy here and there for wanting it more than any one other). In short Jon, I would like to say thank you for giving me the inspiration to continue being "my" kind of FAN.

  • @OptimusOpie thanks to you too, bro.

  • @jon3pnt0 If I may, I have added you a Contact. Might I ask you do the same as I just tried writing you message and it came up blocked. If not, I would understand, but there is more that I would like to say that I would rather not share publicly and that I would truly like to convey. Thanks in advance either way (as I would understand if you decided not to). Until next we speak! :-D

  • @OptimusOpie yeah that's just one more way youtube messed around with things with the new layout and whatnot. now you have to be added as a contact in order to send messages to someone. it's ridiculous. i've never rejected or ignored a friend request. :)

  • @jon3pnt0 THANK YOU!!!

  • Man , u got a wick'd sick collection man !!!! I understand Jon . Keep doing what doing what u love , man . If u still doing stop motion and u need more voice actor I'm down .

  • Loving the Brain voice lol now that was a fantastic show. My understanding is that the original voice was done to sound like Orson Welles; that said do you have a Unicron voice in your repitoire

  • @SpecialAgentRavage the brain was one of those characters i did an impression of when i was a kid and yes, maurice lemarche based the character's voice on orsen welles. that said i do have a Unicron voice in my repitoire. :)

  • @jon3pnt0 Cool! Any chance we'll hear it in the future?

  • Well Jon, everything makes sense. You collected animated as a pass down/ heirloom. Now you buy what you can use. And trolls will be trolls. Besides, everyone has to do a little playing :) Maybe not pew-pew but I'll site and transform back and forth for no reason other than I have 5 mins to spare! So, keep doing what your doing. And I hope transformers will be around when you have grandkids!

  • @CYNow8824 technically, i bought all the animated and let the kids play with them until they were tired of them and stored them in my office when they weren't playing with them to keep them intact. now, they've gotten to where they're uninterested in the line so i store them in the office until i need them for a video or something. i'll do my best to keep doing what i'm doing and i hope i'm still around for grandkids too! ;)

  • On a somewhat related topic I miss the comic "Lil formers"

  • So you just get what you want, not every single figure in the wave?

  • @predaconmatrix yes and no. I get what I know I can use for a video, re-sell or pass on to my kids/grandkids one day.
