The Rehmaan Baabaa's above sher may be read incorrectly by the person who is reading it. According to my sources, I thought the first misra of the above sher was:

And nno bucharit is not same as Pashto, its a misnomer. Pashto is heavily influenced by Persian and Arabic and is written in Perso-Arabic script as well. Hence the aramaic resonance in the language due to Arabic presence.
As you would know arabic and hebrew both are sister languages of Aramaic, and then heavy migrations/invasions of arabs and persians in our lands, their languages have left some prints, which is why it might seems (if it seems) close to hebrew.
And besides we are not certain about which language influenced which in this very case you are talking about. It could be Pashto influencing Bucharit, due to approx. 50 million Pashtuns reigning the very steppe, where now uzbeks, tajiks, hazaras and Pashtuns live together.
Languages travel you know, every 10 km, there's a change in a dialect and vocabulary, based on the local or foriegn words adapted by the language.

The Persian history dates back to 5000 years or so and none of their writings have anything about Pashtuns PERIOD. The only reference made to Province Pusht of Persian empire was in the Edict of Achaemenian in 4th century B.C. (Read Encyclopedia of Pashto, Pub. Uni of Kabul).
The only synonymous word ever appeard in the historic and archeological references is in 200BC in History of Herodotus "Book 7, #66/67" (The dandaroi and the dadikai had the Baktrian equipment in all rspects. The Paktuikes wore Cloaks of Skin and carried the bow of the country and Dagger.)
He word Paktuikes, which the revert scholars of the east and west both refer to as the Pakhtuns. Herodotus further writes they were inhabitants of Sulemanian Mountians (Book 3, #102)
There's absolutely no archelogical evidence of any sort of written Pashto or even mentioning of the language of Pashto /8which first time came into being in 16th century by Sheikh Malli's writings. There have been no coins/written history/anything at all of Pakhtuns before 9th century Arab invaders, who mentioned Afghans in the book Hudud-Al-Alam.

However, I strongly suggest do not attain knowledge off Wikipedia. It is the most corrupt source of information ever. You can create an account on Wikipedia and can edit any article you want and change anything you want in any article of the wiki.
It's an open source, hence the most unreliable. So do not base your info on Wiki, rather get your hands on some nice books from all types of authors and cross compare.

The Persian history dates back to 5000 years or so and none of their writings have anything about Pashtuns PERIOD. The only reference made to Province Pusht of Persian empire was in the Edict of Achaemenian in 4th century B.C. (Read Encyclopedia of Pashto, Pub. Uni of Kabul).

The only synonymous word ever appeard in the historic and archeological references is in 200BC in History of Herodotus "Book 7, #66/67" (The dandaroi and the dadikai had the Baktrian equipment in all rspects. The Paktuikes wore Cloaks of Skin and carried the bow of the country and Dagger.)
He word Paktuikes, which the revert scholars of the east and west both refer to as the Pakhtuns. Herodotus further writes they were inhabitants of Sulemanian Mountians (Book 3, #102)
And that's 2200 yrs!

There's absolutely no archelogical evidence of any sort of written Pashto or even mentioning of the language of Pashto /8which first time came into being in 16th century by Sheikh Malli's writings. There have been no coins/written history/anything at all of Pakhtuns before 9th century Arab invaders, who mentioned Afghans in the book Hudud-Al-Alam.
I have done my Masters in History (Archeology) from Peshawar Uni. And I never came across with any evidence from any source...

What? Pashto is close to Avestan? Pashto is a SouthEastern Iranian language where Avesten is a NorthEastern Iranian language. Did you ever hear an Avestan language? Aryan = Iranian. Aryan is just a title the people of indo-european origin gave themselves over Dardic, vedic and dravidian tribes. Pashtuns were just one part that migrated from North to East (Sulemanian Mouttains) while their cousins (Persians) were already ruling and living there. I dont think you have ever read Enclopedia of Pashto (published in Kabul Uni.)? Oh well you called that false source, I forgot.

The Aryan is an extremely vague term used for almost every single entity belonging to Indo-Eurpean branch. Based on that, the Aryan origin goes back to Adam AS.

However, I strongly suggest do not attain knowledge off Wikipedia. It is the most corrupt source of information ever. You can create an account on Wikipedia and can edit any article you want and change anything you want in any article of the wiki.
It's an open source, hence the most unreliable. So do not base your info on Wiki, rather get your hands on some nice books from all types of authors and cross compare.

pashtoons are in the progeny of Bani Israel. those who migrated with Moses PBUH,they then settled in the Persia and move into Afghanistan later. this is what i've read in the book.i dont remember the name but it was in urdu written by some Professor of Peshawar University. it also discussed the similarities between the Hebrew and Pashto. for example we use ghar for mountain they also use ghar. and so many like this. aryans are arabs. so, Bani Israel were not arabs.
