  • Soooo cute!!

  • @maxwileX yes, I think it would be safe because baby shampoo is very gentle. You can also use Dawn Dish Detergent. They use it on animals stuck in oil spills and it kills fleas. Either one would be good for a Guinea Pig.

  • @tralaladingdong33 if they are long haired you will need to bathe them twice a month and brush them once a day. If they are short haired, you can bathe them once a month. You only have to brush short haired pigs if they are shedding their hair, but that is for your sake!!

  • Is it OK to use Baby Shampoo on guinea Pigs?

  • @MawileX NO. IF you really have to clean them then with water ONLY. But usually they clean themselves...they have to be washed only if the owner doesn't clean up the cage well -.-

  • So so cute

  • So cute <3 Looks like they think it feels nice :3

  • how many times do you need to bathe your guinea pig in a month? once or twice?

  • @tralaladingdong33

depends if they are long hair ones or short. Look it up

  • Does anyone know why Guinea Pigs sort of stand/lean ontop of eachother like that? 0:29

  • @gggrinz cuz the were scared they usually do even mine do so its kinda natural

  • Aww, so sweet :) The brown one is sweetiest

  • The water that you're pouring on the guinea pigs looks hot (it's got a white kind of colour to it and is not fully transparent). Never bath a guinea pig in hot or cold water - make sure it's luke warm. Guinea pigs are sensitive and extreme temperatures hurt them more than it hurts us.

  • don't put any soap water in their eyes, they could catch an infection

  • "Oh no! Water! Our one weakness! Quickly, my brothers, perform Maneuver 28: The Guinea Pig Tower of Cuteness!"

  • I remember bathing a guinea pig I had.. she LOVED the nice warm water. She would squeak to me in delight! ^^

  • i remember that time it was realy yesterday

  • Seek shelter!!

    *hides behind a guinea pig*

  • hehe so cute! mmy guinea pig loooves baths. Did you name then after the singing duo chaz and dave or was it just random?

  • They can die if you change there room tempeture

  • @gigih2001 What? That makes no sense...it's not like she was boiling them. A good bath now and then isn't going to kill them. o.O

  • @NekoMimiSakuya I know but still u have to be really careful to hot or to cold you never know...

  • Aww they were sooo cute

  • thats funny they kept jumpin all over eachother hahahahaha LOL!!!

  • wat kind of shampo u use

  • one word of advice if you do do this again put a towel at the bottom of the bath they would be less stressed about slipping and slideing about

  • nawh, their so cute my guinea pig looks like the dark brown one with the white stripes <3

  • you CAN and if they are ill you have to bath them sometimes but IF you do it, THATS the wrong way to do it!! Oo

  • why should Guinea Pigs need a bath ??? they are very clean Pets.

  • @TheGuySaysLoLoLoLoL Tell that to my pure white Peruvian long haired...

  • @GeorgeSandle xD you can cut the Hairs ;) and it´s better in the Summer

  • am I dreaming? or is this cuteness real?

  • they are so adorable

  • Comment removed

  • oh no you are supposed to bathe them.

  • i don't think you're supposed to bathe guinea pigs... they do that themselves.

  • i hope in the water isn't shampoo

  • awwww sooo cute!

  • So cute

  • I'm thinking of getting a long haired guinea pig... any tips? He/she will be living with my current female guinea pig, Peaches. Also, where and when do I get a haircut for a long hair? And what style? LIke, I want to do the other things I've seen with one long strand of hair on the head and the rest cut semi-shrt so it doesn't drag on the floor. P>S. All I have right now for grooming is a brush, p. s.s. how to clean guinea pig brushes and cages? Like do I use soap and water or something else?

  • cute!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • obviously they dont like water

  • @Serenity264 Yeah?? And they don't like their nails cut either, They still have to have it done.

  • @hoppity42 I know my guinea pig flips out when either of these things have to be done

  • @Serenity264 Guinea pigs freak out about them getting a haircut, nails cut and getting injections. They need to have all those otherwise their fur'll get mattered, their nails will overgrow and they will get ill if they never have an injection or vaccination. They may not like it but they can't be avoided.

  • when i bath mine it jumps at me and i get scared!!!:)...lol

  • @tinybutmighty97

same it use too until it died on 26 th of December and he was only 10 months :'(

  • when i was 13 and gave a bath to my guinea pig. HE DIED. i dont understand in some of these videos how they are bathing hamsters and guinea pigs and they dont die? was there something wrong with my milo? ( guinea pig name ) i miss him.

  • @kookie2100i how old are u now

  • @kookie2100i probably it was too cold or hot or maybe he was just so scared, I don't know

  • @kookie2100i It could be anything, maybe it wasn't even related. There are few rules for piggies: special soap for animals, right temperature and drying them properly (we carefully used a blowdrier if it took too long). If you just bought him, he might have already been sick, happened to me. Don't blame yourself

  • @kookie2100i well how'd he die? Did he die while giving him a bath or some time after? If it was some time after he might've not died from the bath itself. Also, make sure the water wasnt too hot or cold, if it feels hot to you it might've been to warm for him. guinea pigs more sensitive, even slightly hot can be too hot. But idk i'm not an expert so dont take my word for it, i just lost my second guinea pig a year after the last one!

  • whose who?

  • OMG WATER AAAAHHHHH

  • NEVER TRY TO BATHE YOUR GUINEA PIG IN YOUR ROOM IN A LITTLE BUCKET. 20 minutes of scraping everything out from under my bed just for it to happen again...

  • when i try to bathe my guinea pigs they try to jump out of the tub. [:

  • No i'm ontop, NO im on top, Lemme on!

  • I want a guinea pig so bad :P <3

  • @Lisax345 you should get one(: theyre really sweet

  • @Cheezelover100 I was gonna get one, but when I went to the pet shop they ran out of guinea pigs so I bought a hamster. Maybe I'll get a guinea pig. :)

  • Ees a geenie peeeg! *schnuggle schnuggle schnuggle*

  • u should put a rag under their feet next time it helps cause then they have something to grip on i do that for mine but she still insits on putting two lil paws on my hand

  • awww they're adorable :)

  • thats what my guinea pig does

    ITS SO CUTE THOUGH!

  • guinea pigs:(we better get carrots after this) lol

  • o my 2 guinea pigs are the worst...

we put them in a big yellow tub and when we soak it with water it literally jumps out of the bowl and splashes water all over me!

the other one, DON'T MAKE ME SAY IT.... it's worse...

  • pigs are so cute :)

    i wubs dem

  • @cardinalswift if you dont have anything good to say then dont say it

  • @Sillyguyy1 Awww im so sorry! :( R.I.P. little guy

  • i miss my guinea pig =( he passed away in march...

  • @Sillyguyy1 If you live in NYC... I have 4 females ready to give but it must be to a person who cares for them. You sound like you care. 2 Abyssinians and 2 American. You can have one as long as you promise to take care of her. Born on Feb 5th 2011.

  • aww ur brown n white one looks like my lil man :)

  • Awwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww

  • I just gave my two piggies a bath yesterday & their fine. I only do it in the summer & I think they enjoy the pampering!!! I wash them one at a time w/ baby shampoo in my sink w/ luke warm water. I towel dry then let them run around! Happy guinea pigs!

  • So cute! I would love to have one!

  • that is nasty

  • I think you can wash pigs providing its only every now and again ,with a gentle shampoo ,georgus guinea shampoo or baby shampoo or if they have mites a medicated one and just wrap them up afterwards and keep them warm and they will be fine.

  • Your guinea pigs are so cute! One tip though: you aren't supposed to give them a bath. They already clean themselves if you think they smell it's not them it's their cage. The cold waters could kill them and washing them takes away the good oils they need to clean themselves

  • You can kill your guinea pig if you soak them in water like that. It's too cold for them

  • aww, the brown and white one is sooo sweet!!!

  • G forceee

  • yea we gave one of our guinea pigs a bath the other week and gave him a blow dryer

and his tongue kept sticking in and out

  • I gave my piggy a bath for the first time this past week, He liked the blow dryer.

  • I wish my piggys all got along like that! I have 3 boys, 2 are brothers. At least 1 is gay (I think). lol

  • @KL0zzyCBA

Then why dont u use something called a towel?

  • so cute, u should see the mine when we wash them :) but mine shake water all over me!

  • aarrrrr they r sooooo cute

mine arent that keen on baths apart from olga my long haired one...she just likes all the attention!!!!

  • @bxdii77 you dont have to if it is an indoors piggie, but if it has an outdoor hutch, then yes, they should be bathed regularly. :) and in anycase they get dirty by all means u can bath them :)

  • they cant have broccili

  • @krystalvarela8 lol yes they can, just not 2 much at once :)

  • This made me so happy. =}

  • @chik4wolverine me 2! :)

  • they're just like "Ah get me out of here!!!"

  • When I bathed my guinea pigs, they practicly KILLED me!

  • @MegaBalloonPopper Some guinea pigs hate being bathed so you can buy some special cleaning wipes for them and just give them a good rub over with the wipes twice a month or so. I tried it, its alot easier. :)

  • soo cute!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @bxdii77 no there actually very clean animals

  • @bxdii77 the water should b luke warm and u put then in a sink or a big bowl, you have to buy special small animal shampoo and put it on them, MAKE SURE IT DOESN'T GET IN THEIR EYES. the rinse the shampoo out and wrap in a towel so the piggy doesn't get a cold cuddle until dry. after i let my piggys run sround and nuzzle in a blanket after their dry

  • @oksanac68 awww, ur such a great piggie owner :)

  • It so cute!!

  • I like the way they seek comfort in each other. Poor babies though... Bath time sucks, huh? ;) I hate when I have to bathe mine, I feel so sorry for them. :)

  • Darling!!

  • the two small ones are going on top of the guinea pig :)

  • you shoul bathe them in a sink r container tubs

    have lot of human germs

  • Are you supposed to bathe them?

  • @antartica101 You should really but only once in a while and it means you're looking after them properly. Your guinea pig may not like it at first but afterwards they feel much healthier and happier after a bath and they always look in good condition. Ignore those who say you shouldn't and they can get colds. They're wrong. Ask a vet. They'll say you should give them a wash about once a month.

  • @boffinme80 Thanks. That helped. My new guinea pig, Percy got so dirty his white fur spots were yellow. I just wanted to makes sure it was okay. :) BTW: he was very good in the tub. I beleive he like it better in the sink. He got scared in the bath but other than that, he was very good.

    :)

  • They were stacking on top of each other. Totem Pole FTW.

  • "Maybe if we stay together we wont get wet"

  • I have a guinea pig that likes baths but gets scared from teh loud water

  • they're all going, OhhHhHHhHHH yeah baby that feelz gooOOoOOD! teehee :P

  • They're like, "oh no, we're getting clean XP!"

  • bathing a guinea pig is not cruel

  • N'aww!

  • They are SO cute! We loved it!

  • My guinea pig, (Chaka) hates whenever I give her a bath. by the way don't guinea pigs need a companion to be happy, help me out here

  • @Partymaggot47 They live in herds in the wild. So, they're social animals and yes, more than one is best for the piggy (ies).

  • Maybe one at a time might be easier.

  • @Aewia ive noticed that when they're all together they're more calm so its actually easier

  • This good but you should put a towel in there or something to stop them slipping, they could hurt themselves otherwise :)

  • @schmeeling Theres water under neath XD the towel will just soak!

  • @smilehappyme um yeah... that's what I meant. then use another one to dry them.

  • LOL THEY'RE LIKE ''OH NO! :OOOO''

  • awww gorgeous!!

  • i'm kind of afraid to bathe mine, because my house is pretty cold right now and i don't want them to catch a cold... i have to because they have some parasites, but they're not serious so i could wait.

  • @TEHellsabellsa When we had that problem we mounted the entire cage on top of a heating radiator, and let the whole thing warm up a bit before the cleaning. Then the floor of the cage and the air around it is warm. It should work unless it's a drafty place.

  • what my sister did was give them a bottom bath filling some water into it then put them into it and it would go to their hips or something

  • @shiira65

Coz if you don't they'll stink!

  • why do you bath them at all? there's really no need to!

  • Your guinea pigs are incredibly adorable!

  • 0:02 lol gp totem pole

  • guinea pigs are so amazingly cute i cannot believe there are people who succeed in resisting loving them :D

  • lol the black and white one was like here if i sit on you i wont get wet then a cup pours water on him and hes like shoot

  • You do realize that you should never have to give it a bath right?

  • @hockeyboys12

I don't think so. I had a long-haired guinea pig and it had been cruel to NOT bath this animal, because the shit sticks in the long hair and the poor animal attracs flies and worms. But you have to be careful and you must close all doors of the room, so that no cold air can come in. Turn the heating on, so that it's really warm. THEN bath it, use handwarm water and finish the bath within 5 minutes. Dry it softly with a towel and don't open a door till the pig is completely dry.

  • @boffinme80

You're the one who is ignorant.

I already said I read multiple books about guinea pigs + I consulted multiple veterinarians + I informed myself on guinea pig forums and THEY ALL said you don't have to bathe them! I never exposed my pigs to a single drop of water and instead kept their cage perfectly clean EVERY DAY like all people should and they never had any problems. In fact I got compliments from people saying they smell lovely. ^^

    .

They don't bathe in nature anyway.

  • @boffinme80

You know, it's more than obvious WHO the arrogant part here is. But it's okay, I don't mind. Just a hint: Try some anger management sometime. And by bathing so often I can imagine you would destroy their natural skin flora because it has no time to regenerate. But oh well...

    Have a nice day kid.

  • @megatroll Up yours racist slut! Yeah I've seen your dumb profile!

  • @boffinme80

Oh, so now that you've acknowledged you're wrong, it's about my profile all of a sudden? Please...

    .

    Seriously, I won't bother anymore.

  • @megatroll you have to atleast oncea mounth

  • @JestAnoutherPistol

    GTFO kid.

    Seriously, just GTFO.

  • @megatroll you gtfo cock sucker

  • @megatroll i dont mean to offend you but........i heard some guinea pig smart people say that you should bathe them once a week.....sorry

  • @blehnny

Yeah yeah, drown your guinea pigs if that's your desire... burn them alive... I don't care anymore. You kids are completely learn resistant. Have you ever seen a guinea pig seen bathng in nature????? Have you ever noticed how they clean themselves multiple times a day????? I tell you what, if your guinea pigs start to smell, it's not because they need a bath, but because you need to get your lazy ass up and properly clean their cage mutltiple times a day like you're supposed to!

  • @megatroll That's a lie! They don't need to be cleaned several times a day. My guinea pig named Theo can go without being cleaned for 5 days tops.

  • @MeatfortoeatALT

In case you didn't notice I was refering to cleaning their cages.

Guinea pigs have a whole different diggestive system than most animals. They practically eat and poop all day. Hence you should at least twice a day clean their cage of the poop and pee in order to prevent it from smelling. And I really hope you were joking... if you let your pets sit for 5 days without cleaning their cage, you're a disgusting person and shouldn't have animals.

  • @megatroll well i used to have guinea pig and we just changed sawdust every three days and washed cage rarely, she did not stink, i loved her, she died when she was six.

  • @megatroll I only have one guinea pig.

  • @megatroll i dont have kids and WONT DROWN THEM............also i clean my guinea pig cage

  • @megatroll i dont have kids and WONT DROWN THEM............also i clean my guinea pig cage also i have no idea if they were right

  • @megatroll, I'm reading through these comments and note that you keep making the "point" that Guinea Pigs don't bath in nature. Unfortunately, it's not making you sound like you know what you're talking about, because domesticated Guinea Pigs (Cavia Porcellus) are not found naturally in the wild. Only related species (e.g., Cavia aperea, Cavia fulgida, etc.) are. Bathing a domesticated Guinea pig is akin to bathing a domesticated dog. No different, and certainly acceptable.

  • they are gonna so hate you for that lol

  • I love the black and white one its so cute

  • our guinea pig dosent like to be wet they can swim so one day we put her in the pool she swam over to my dad and ran up his arm

  • @therockguitarist96 You put your guinea pig in the pool? Do you realize how terrifying that must have been for her.

  • it's so funny when they try and run lmao. bless em:)

  • Next time you should put them in a full bath, they can swim super fast!

  • @Venusflame24 I know, right! That's, like, the ONLY way you can get them to exercise anymore.

  • You're the only one I've seen on youtube that bathes their guinea pigs RIGHT. Other people just shove them in the sink and expect them to like it.

  • @SulliGra Yeah, it's sick that they run cold water from the faucet over a poor little GP

  • @SulliGra my guinea pig zafron and Celestyn liked to swim around, they didnt try to escape

  • @SulliGra I agree completely! :D :3 <3
