Thanks for recognizing his talent - we love Brandon, thankfully we still get to see him from time to time - he's in med school nearby.

IMO this is the Clef's most fun performance and man does it show. I love everything about the performance from the arrangement to the group's dance moves. Steve's part was really cute and Anoop's surprise hug while Andrew was rapping was made me go aww.

And then there was the transition to the next song. Brandon was amazing, Chamillionaire would be proud. Andrew's segment was honestly the most fun part, he was absolutely flawless.

@bilkissb786 That's Andrew Simpson - check him out in MANY subsequent raps for the Clefs over his remaining years in the group (just graduated). Search "Simpson Clef" in the YT search window and they should all pop up...

@bilkissb786 Yep. He's done. Each Clef has a maximum of 4 years in the group, regardless of where they were in their university time when they were selected. Andrew auditioned as a high school senior, so his 4 years are up... :(

This performance is from our Fall 2006 Concert in Chapel Hill. When we perform a song containing questionable or profane lyrics, we always change or omit them in order to make our performances suitable for all audiences. Our grandmothers were at this concert--we wouldn't do anything inappropriate. I think it would be much easier to raise issues with the language on these message boards than with the video content on this channel.

Brandon Is a Basso Profundo, which is a special type of bass that can sing quite low, and sing those notes very loudly with natural resonance. They are borderline rare, and you have to be born with it. You can always tell by their speaking voice, and in the short time I was in his company, it was fairly obvious.
