And if he can read this I just want to let him know I'm sorry and that I love him more than anything on this planet. God could have taken me for you. I'd trade in the time of a heartbeat to pump my blood into your body.

Two years aago today I saw my father take his last breath in the hospital and my momma sitting by his side asking him to open his eyes one last time as we knew he was slipping away. Have always liked this song still makes me cry when I hear it.
i had to do this song at my father's funeral last week and i just barley made it through the song with out crying almost told them to cut the disc off because i was starting to cry
Just lost my father unexpectedly and this song gives me so much peace in my heart about how lucky and blessed I was to have such a wonderful, hard working and loving father. I have so many memoires when I hear this.
