Don't laugh. I can never remember deductive vs. inductive reasoning.
Inductive : I put my hand into a bag of candy 3 times and pull out a red piece of each time and conclude that all the candy is red. Individual cases form generalities.
Deductive : The next day, the same person brings over a bag of candy and without putting my hand in the bag, I decide it is red candy. Generalities applied to individual case.
That would only be deductive reasoning if the definition of "candy" is "sweet, red stuff." Then you'd know all the "candy" in the bag is red, because if it weren't red, it wouldn't be "candy."
lol steve, why do you find this idea much better than PF strawson's? Both basically say "look we have the psychological bias of inductive reasoning, therefore inductive reasoning is rational"
In other words, what you're saying is, if it feels good, believe it? Or even worse... if it feels good, it's true?!

Make sense?

The solution lies in why memories are emerging
in the first place, as well as why perceptions emerge. Induction, Deduction, and IF/Then Rules, will not help

you are presupposing causality as a general law, but this need not be assumed.

You are way too happy about this philosophy stuff.

I'm a god. How 'bout you?

descartes solution but without assuming God would not deceive? more practical :)

I hadn't originally considered using my "rationality solution" towards the problem of deduction, but it works quite well. Great job! Thanks!

What the fuck. I repeated myself like 4 times, from 1:00 to 2:00...

You can use the same justification for induction, no?

Yup, and I think it works.
