  • Truck sounds awesome man, nice job!!

  • I have a video up on my channel, let me know what u think.

  • Thanks to your video,i chose the 40 series 1 in 2 out muffler for my 2011 Silverado,i wanted my exhaust to sound really good like yours does.

  • @kelaro75 Awesome! I'm glad the video helped. When I was looking to change my exhaust these videos were invaluable so I posted mine as well. Did you turn your pipes down or come straight out the back?

  • @elefntkpr I went with straight out the back because i wanted to showoff the chrome tips,i think it sounds great ,im going to get a video soon.

  • I see your also "That Guy" in the neighbor hood. My neighbors LOVE me to....

  • @kiteLe06 I was "That Guy" until one of my neighbors just cut his exhaust off from the cat back. It sounds like an air boat.

  • @elefntkpr I had a buddy years back with a 4 banger ranger, exhaust cut off at the manifold. People in the wal mart parking lot would be looking in the sky when we came through...sounded like a german bomber plane.

  • @kiteLe06 Nice. I'm actually secretly jealous. I spent money to keep the neighbors awake.

  • hey man did u take the cats off or left them on bc i just got a 5.3 2010 and im gonna get flowmasters and i wasent sure 2 leave them on or take them off

  • @MrChevyboi19 I left the cats in place. Only replaced the stock muffler and turned down the pipes.

  • @elefntkpr o ok thanks and your truck sounds great

  • hows the interior sound?

  • @trombone901 You can hear it on my other video listed in the description. Only difference is I no longer have AFM turned on. In my opinion its perfect. I can hear it very well if I get down on the accelerator thanks to the turn downs. But just normal cruising on the interstate, its just a low hum.

  • Hey man nice truck! Did the same thing with my 2008, you can check out the video on my channel. Put on the super 40 series with just a turn down pipe.

  • @Mapexdrummer28 Yes indeed, your sounds much better. I liked the stock comparison. I didn't think to do that, was just happy I had the work done. Good job with the pepper spray btw, that shit hurts like hell.

  • @elefntkpr I think yours sounds pretty damn good! Yes that was not a very pleasant day, Thank you, it did indeed hurt like hell. haha

  • so was the just a muffler or was it a whole kit?

  • @jameshewell It was just the muffler, no other exhaust mods.

  • thats the same exact thing my dads truck has

  • Thanks for the upload, I've always used Flowmaster 40s on my vehicles but couldn't find the original 40series in a 3" center in and out. But after your vid Im just going to get the center in dual out.. Thanks for the part number aswell...

  • @elefntkpr- Thats too bad, that might be the sole reason why my 2011 LTZ stays stock on the exhaust, shame as I really love the sound of your truck. Is that Jake brake sound really bassy, and loud? My truck is only about 5 days old but i personally find that it is in V4 quite often.

  • @Randibrite09 In some part, my lack of V4 is related to the weight of my foot. But even if I drive conservatively it hardly ever kicks in...always thought that was strange. Anyways, in all honesty the sound of the AFM only bothered me the first day and only because with the stock exhaust I couldn't hear anything. It's not that's its loud it's just noticeable now with the flowmaster. I'll try to get a good video in the next day or so of it kicking back and forth from V4 to V8 and upload it.

  • @Randibrite09 Posted a link in the description of this video for AFM video.

  • Hey, does your 5.3L have the AFM system, what does it sound like when shes running in V4?

  • @Randibrite09 That is the downside I'm afraid. Even with exhaust designed to tame the AFM tone I hear people aren't happy. With my setup, when the AFM kicks in it resembles very muffled engine braking...like on a 18 wheeler. Since my AFM only kicks in when Saturn aligns with all the OnStar satellites, I plan to disable it when I have my chip flashed.

  • great sounding truck man flowmasters are the best

  • sounds pretty good

  • cool thanks like the sound just bout an 11 sierra been debating but i think ive found it

  • @emofogwire Cool! I poured over these videos myself for a week before I made up my mind. A friend at work bought a 2011 Sierra 4x4 with the same engine just after I got my truck and he did his the same way. It sounds great.

  • is that a super 40 or a delta flow?

  • @emofogwire

40 Series Original. I put it in place of the stock muffler and turned the two outlets down just as they exited the muffler. Wanted a single in / single out but this was one of those "deals".

Youtube won't let me post a link to the flowmaster site with the information so just google Flowmaster 430402.
