Ramesh did very well he seemed in control and was dealing more hits than receiving. Good job! For those who can't see any Wing Chun its all about applying principles. You can tell by the way he fights a lot more reserved (Though maybe a little too reserved) but he waited for the oppurtunities.
OH MY GOD! This is exactly what I aim to do! It doesn't look like Wing Chun when it's a ring sport. It's all-around striking utilizing principles and concepts of Wing Chun. Well done!
@TheMartialartsJedi ah very good for noticing (though it really isnt difficult not to if you are a kung fu practicioner). This is San Chou or as I call it Sanda.
Its crucial to understand, competing in the ring and training in a Kwoon are two totally different areas. In the ring you must simplify. Complex Kung Fu Tecs look good in class but are for masters and Hollywood. In ring fighting its vital to train gross motor skills, try to perfect the punch, kick, Pak, Wu, Bon, forward, back & side movement, the slip etc, all basics and there if you look. Apologies to those who perceive Kung Fu to look like a monkey or bird, this is Wing Chun San Shou.
@sifulkf Thank you. SO many people think ving tsun is suppose to look like the kung fu in the movie ipman. Ving tsun has nothing to do with looks and styles at its core. It is simply about efficiency and maintaining better positioning. We train a certain way to develop structure and sensitivity but that does not mean we are limited to one set way of doing things. Every situation has a different approach. Basic ving tsun typically focuses on close range skills against an aggressive opponent.

Great match but where was the Kung-Fu? Mostly all Kung-Fu practitioners resort to simple strikes as those in Muay-Thai when under pressure.
