you just gotta mess with the tunings and stuff. i got my bugatti to 268, even though the benchmark says like 264.7 and the 0-60 is 1.8 secs. put your tire pressure on as high as you can, aerodynamics on full (speed instead of cornering) and lower your gear ratio between .25 and .50

@heyitstheo47 well it has changed since 2009... u have to change ur gear ratio's and aero to hit those speeds.. The reventon used to be able to hit 264 and now ur lucky to get 260... ive noticed this.. It might be the online play, or the upgrade... not sure..

264.8mph is the Bugatti Veyron's top speed (WITH ALL ENGINE, TRANSMISSION, HANDLING, AND TIRE UPGRADES), lots of people have put tuning setups on the storefront saying "Bugatti Veyron 314mph, modded Bugatti 500mph", but thats just bullshit.

in 4za the driver doesn't use the gear-shift paddles ( yes it has them), but in Shift the driver does. I think they should of used the rear wing for braking

because the more gears you have you have better access to the power and torque from the engine, and also so the engine doesn't strain. YOU put you bike in the highest gear and you'll have trouble getting up a hill. About 6-8 gears is appropiate for a car. depending on the power to weight ratio and the gear ratios. blah blah blah

I can't really explain to you how transmissions work in one comment but its basically in first when your engine does one rotation the wheel does 3 (for EXAMPLE) so that would be a 1:3 ratio

in highes gear the ratio would be like 1:20

but the veyron cant do any faster with those gears because the engine doesnt have enough torque to get it higher than 264

Circuit de la Sarthe (Le Mans) - Old Mulsanne version.

They really should have Ehra-Lessien (or some knock-off thereof) in this game - a 5½ mile straight should allow some really big numbers (Mulsanne is about 3 miles but with the kink and hairpin at the far end you can't make full use of it).

after this try and i could only get to 262

on this vid i just upgraded all but the tranny

i think it hit 264 cause of smooth steering

even the benchmark said it should only do 262.5

the stock tranny is 7 speed

then upgrade is 6 seeds

but you can adjust the gears for while so you reach the same to speed but your wont have nearly as good acceleration

i tried it and the top speed didnt get pass 262 so it slowed down

and the acceleration dropped
