You apparently haven't been listening. He's called Kwame Brown ''weak,' along with Marbury, Steve Francis, Erick Dampier. It sounds really 'street' to punk them, but the reality is, these guys are all elite athletes, and some are actually former All-Stars.

I know it is, he can criticize and analyze any player he wants, but on a basketball level, on a professional level, not on a personal level at all. Barkley usually keeps his comment about basketball, or on a professional level, but he never goes as far as Smith goes. You're right we need people who tell it like it is, but not on a personal level

I'm not just talking about Smith vs marbury. Smith crosses the line many times with players, for example Erick Dampier, calling him "Ericka" It's one thing to say he needs more toughness or needs to step up his physicality level, but to basically call him a pussy, and say he's a woman, defenitely crosses the personal level line, doesn't it? Smith's legacy isn't anything for him to be able to call people out on a personal level. Him doing his job is one thing, as long as he doesn't cross the line

I agree with you, that what Stephen A Smith does is wrong a lot of the time, when he calls people out on a personal level, but I don't like the example you gave when Walton called Shaq out. What Shaq has done in his career is way more than what Walton did. I know Walton is a HOFer, but not on the level that Shaq is. Shaq has argumetns for being the greatest center of all time, Walton, well, doesn't.
