@CarolynnQ Well for one I suggest you read your Bible, its a good way to increase your relationship with God. For bands I suggest Toby Mac, Newsboys, Skillet, Pillar, Manafest, Lecrae, Disciple, and Shonlock. I love their songs and I am sure you will to, and you will find more bands to but thats just a couple I enjoy.
Also some of them are not rock bands but they have fast paced songs, but I hope you enjoy the songs and get a deeper relationship with God.

@CarolynnQ other people have basically covered all the good ones but i insist you listen to Tenth Avenue North. Their album Over and Underneath....changed my life. It really did. And i know the feeling of losing interest in the more churchy songs. And obviously you know to read your bible and discover God, so i don't need to tell you that. Music, especially positive, wholesome music, has a way of lifting our spirits and showing us a new side of God :)

We will be persecuted by non-believers until the day of Christ. We simply need to keep or focus upon Him and pray for those who do not know the relationship that we experience with Christ. religion is not suppose to control your life. Its about your relationship with GOD. Through him he CAN LIberate you from feeling the negative feelings of hardships of life. So im sitting in math class and im listening to my Ipod and I have it on Air1 and im looking at the TV screen because we were watchin a movie and this came on and God we instantly there with me I could feel his presence and I truly understand what it means to love Jesus now. And people have the ability to enjoy a song and not agree to the message behind it. I grew up religious, I no longer am, but I like this song and a lot of other songs from religious bands. Everyone has the right to like this song and everyone has the right to like what they like and do what they do. I thought God taught tolerance and acceptance of other people's opinions and choices?

@Rockonweanie ok I am a Christian and as much as i would love to say that we all feel happiness once we are Christians thats not the case. Jesus never said follow me and fell love and happiness and nothing will go wrong for the rest of your life, he said it would be hard. No religion isn't suposed to control your life but you should control your life because of your religion. The things I do are because I am a Christian, therefore Jesus has my life in his hands, he can do want he wants with me.

@STEALTH8484 I don't understand the "you should control your life because of your religion." Different religions dictate different, so called acceptable, behavior. Also, people seem to interpret different meanings from the teachings of the same religion...which also leads to more sets of acceptable and unacceptable behavior. It comes down to what you believe, or have faith in...and that can sometimes be dangerous. God didn't make it easy to find him...I know, cause I've been looking for 12 yrs

@Rockonweanie and I am sorry to tell you this but Job was blessed in faith, but he was oh so misserable. Christianity isnt defined by how we feel or whether or not we feel happy, it is wheter we choose to live for Jesus. If Christianity was about the happiness Jesus brings you, which he does lots of I am not saying he doesn't, then everything would be different, people would wait for the feelings they have not the realtionship with Jesus, its like a drug at that point.

Ok, I have to share this story. So im sitting in math class and im listening to my Ipod and I have it on Air1 and im looking at the TV screen because we were watchin a movie and this came on and God we instantly there with me I could feel his presence and I truly understand what it means to love Jesus now.
