@PleasureTV Thanks! This was my first concept and I have considered drawing it out with much longer arms to increase the torque potential. I can visualize long arms similar to a sailplane’s wing. The longer arms would also reduce the required wind speed. Please check out my channel to see a variety of concept videos I have created. I’m almost finished with a new design that I’ll upload soon.

I appreciate your interest. Yes, many concepts shown here are my unique designs but there are several people working with similar ideas which all have unique features. The flap wind turbine is not a new concept but innovators continue to find improvements. Hopefully, there will be several different types that will operate at lower wind speeds and be cost effective.
In fact, this turbine design does not suit for high rotational speed, as the blades need conditioning time to quickly park and catch wind energy. And such, it is advisable to stiffen the shaft(reduce the shaft with gears), make the blades spin slower. Great idea.
Thank You for your comment. I think there will be several different types of leverage based wind turbine designs. Hopefully there will be low cost models that might come packaged as a kit along with large high end models. Of course, Cost Versus Efficiency will be what determines the success or failure. That is the big challange!
At this point, the low speed leverage concept is still just a concept as far as I can tell. If the required wind speed for wind turbines could be reduced by 4 or 5 MPH, then many more areas of the world could utilize the potential of the wind.
I "think" it would produce sufficient electricity at lower wind speeds due to leverage. Of course, the concept designs I show would all be slow turning, high torque wind turbines and would require a transmission to convert the slow speed back to a sufficient speed for the generator to operate.
Yeah, CAD is fun and a great way to use your Imagination. There are some really nice programs out there. I used Autodesk Inventor and Working Model 2D. I have a friend that uses Sketchup and it does a nice job for his purpose. Thanks
Really amazing simulation. I am sure that you put a lot of work to create great and interesting video like this one. I am impressed. Everything is clearly described. Good job !!
This is really interesting and clearly demonstrated. This is very well and precisely done. "The wing balancing in zero wind" Extremely well done. The presentation is professional and clear.
Hello, I appreciate your interest. This is a concept project and I have no techanical information. Maybe some day a group of engineers will get together and take a serious look at the leverage concept. There are several people that I have listed in my Favorites section that are working on similar ideas.
Bottom Line: I think a leverage system will beat a propeller system in low wind conditions and I would like to see someone take on the project in a serious way. My videos may be published on any web site.
The purpose of aerodynamic braking in the slot wing is to simply slow the wing down as it is lifted up. There is also a damper shock spring that is included in the simulations but I did not make it visible.
Please feel free to post videos or ideas regarding alternative energy in the message section of any of my videos. Thanks!

WORLD RECORD: BIGGEST WIND TURBINE
Visit: windturbinecarriedbywheels.weebly.com
ZERO-NOISE from gears and generators since they are sealed underground.
SAVES THE BIRDS AND BATS since slow-moving.
DOES NOT NEED TO OCCUPY A WIDER LANDSCAPE since the turbine can be very tall.
MAY BE LOWER-COST since it may use timber and other cheaper things.
ELUDES HURRICANE FORCE since the blades automatically close.
NO FIRE since well-cooled.
HELPS THE WIND ENERGY COMPANIES since it is FREE FOR ALL.

Free Energy is real but the coverup is strong, if you are interested in a REAL free energy machine then
just search for the LT MAGNET MOTOR in the youtube video search , it is probably the ONLY working magnet
motor out there. Join the free energy revolution!!

Its really awesome, I'v never seen anything like this..well is it possible to produce sufficient electricity by this wind turbine??

One potential advantage of a slow turning system is reduced noise output.

I was thinking that an autonomous computer controlled transmission could adjust the gearing automatically.

Leverage type designs might also find a niche on a smaller scale. Examples; Small Farms, High Rise Buildings and etc.
TheWindGinProject 1 year ago
Possible improvements:
(1) Simplify the tower to a tripod type design.
(2) Increase the arm length and reduce the stack height.
(3) Counter rotating stacks.
(4) Autonomous computer control.
TheWindGinProject 1 year ago
The basic objectives:
(1) Design a leverage system that would provide more power at lower speeds.
(2) Design a VAWT that would operate at the same heights as HAWTs.
(3) Design a method for stopping the turbine when desired.
(4) Promote alternative energy innovation.
