Starhunter 2300 - Opening Titles

Money, pride, greed and power were what destroyed this promising series. It had such great potential and the actors were just starting to meld into a cohesive crew of bounty hunters. Many will compare this too other shows like Firefly which also was melding into a fine sci-fi series but alas it was not to be.

I thought the characters were a bit boring at first, but you get used to them. Can't help but feel I'm watching an altered version of Farscape or Firefly. Too bad it got cancelled.

Whoever does the programming for the SyFy channel must really, really hate SciFi. Starhunter just got better and better right up to the moment it was cancelled. With the quirky but endearing characters, the gritty reality type sci-fi settings - the only thing letting this series down were the special effects. RESURRECT STARHUNTER and regain some respect SyFy channel.

@mr2kat Really? It gets better? I just put it on my Netflix queue. I've watched a couple of epsiodes and I really like the universe its set in, but the actors are just so flat and dull. Even the battle scenes seem boring, but I really want to like the show. Guess I'll just press on through.

i don't know about the sci fi channel in USA but in my country there's only animes and childish shows there

look what i'd like for sci fi channel: stargate universe as well as atlantis, starhunter, batman beyond, psi factor and other cool stuff

Amazing. Sci Fi channel has the funds to put up ridiculous movies and kick solid Sci Fi shows to the curb.

And now SYFY is picking up shows like Ghost Whisperer while it's popular and still on the majors. Why in the hell didn't they do this before? Hell why didn't they pick up shows like this in the beginning before it went to the majors?

I used to watch this show as a kid as often as I could. Its one of those rare jems that has only real fans who are totally devoted, real and believable characters, and awesome plots and a beautifully crafted story. It joins the ranks of some of the best and most tragically canceled sci-fi ever, along side Firefly, Roughnecks, and Enterprise.

The first Starhunter show (Starhunter 2300) is available at Amazon Unbox Downloads for $1.99 per episode. However, it personally think the DVD set is a better bet. As far as I know the first show is only available on DVD. Hope this helps.
