@N0t0ri0us099 personally i would say that the r6 is alot harder to ride than most other 600s on the road. its so track focused. if your riding it on the road you feel every bump in the road. throws you about and youve really gotta hold on tight. plus to really enjoy it you've always got to be on attack mode to get the most out of it. as all the power is high up in the rev range. you will find your always up and down the box constantly. and you really do need a steering damper as it doesnt hav 1

My opinion the best 600 road bike is the cbr 600rr abs. great bike for the road. a million times easier to ride than an r6. soaks up all the bumps. its got a built in steering damper. a little more low down grunt and the ABS really works well.

@kotomakosako In my eyes i think the 600rr is a really good all round bike. mine is a 2010 cbr600rr abs. i started on the 2007 r6 in this video. my 1st bike. bought it brand new from the dealers for about 7k. the guy thought i was nuts. stalled it about 4 times just out of the car park haha! Didnt know much about bikes back then. Just bought it because it looked good, but i enjoyed it. learnt alot. did quite a few track days. crashed at cadwell park. fixed it and had it for 3 years. LOVE BIKES!

@BGR6pride In case you are not aware sir, you should shift to next gear only when you have done the max optimum RPM in the current gear. He was trying to accelerate as fast as he can & this is the way to go about it.

I had an 04 R6 that I wrode hard,(never170 but up to130).Feb 09, I went for a short ride.was going 60mph around a corner when I hit some gravel-was watching the traffic.I flipped/slid for almost 70ft.My bike was torn in HALF with the sub frame stuck in the ground.Bike almost landed on me.I had full protection and still tore all of the ligaments in my left ankle, sprained knee,broken sacrum, dislocated shoulder and a concusion.Still recovering.Hope this never happens to you-drive carefully!enjoy
