I don't think that this song is supposed to be "sweet." I get that you are trying to memorialized her and honor her with it, bu the goodness of her song is the raunch and the grit, which this version lacks. That said you have an excellent voice and are a great singer. I just think the style is wrong for this tune. Perhaps pick another with content that better suits this style? Would love to hear that.

Such a true point made as well, people need to realise that not every addict wants to be that way, and that none of them deserve it. Life hands everyone a horrible hand at some point or another, some just deal with it worse than others. That does not make the loss of such a person any less, nor does it make their plight justified. Pain is pain no matter who you are, Amy died for hers and many more will. I only hope that people can learn the art of compassion when faced with such things. xx
