multitronic with variable continue thats why its 4000 rev's all the time
it dosnt have 1 st gear 2nd 3rd.... it has infinite gears it is like it is 1.234 gear the in a segons it has the gear 1.45 it like it works with decimals but infinite decimals. so it can choose the ideal rev's for the power need so for a maximum aceleration the car needs the max rev's so it constain mantein the rev's to the max by manteining the decimal gear to wor the engine in the max rev's.
Responder a este vídeo...i said that becaus i don't like multitronics the gear changes accelerating with full power are ridiculous always be on max rev's.
ridiculus much better S-tronic as audi called or DSG the originall name (better)
i have this car and he is havin the multitronic in "D" mode, its good if you want to disapear fast(actually multitronic is faster than a manual transmission.
but if u want to have more fun just move to "S" mode.
it has 8 gear and with a chip it does 0-100 i 3'rd gear.
my stats : 191hp/422nm 0-100=under 8 sec and topspeed is 240km/h without problems.
so if you drive with S-mode then its exactly the same as s-tronic.
Multitronic is type of continuously variable transmission. I think it is very good stuff. And very good thing for engine because it runs at constant rmp at maximum of torgue. Thats one thing why stationary engines have long durability, because they run at constant rmp.
Hm i dont know exactly, perhaps it has something to do with the model or year of the car. Multitronic was invented in 1999 with the A6 (4B) the first time, and is only available on front drive models. There is a good article on wikipedia, maybe you'll find the answer there.
This is the audi multitronic. Keeps the rev @ constant rate but speeds up as usual. Some like it, some do not. I like it because it's like a motorboat :D
@landexx ooh oke. I get it. Are all audi automatic cars multitronic? Cause my dad had an audi with automatic gearbox but doesn;t do this. However, his previus car, did and yes I liked it too:D
14s to 130 is quite fast. but all these TDIs of about 120-150hp feel very strong up until 160kmh, you get a feeling it can go 250.. but it looses pace after 160kmh
kiodo di merda....e pure rumorosa....soldi buttati. AUDI SUCKS!!

The multitronic does not like more nm , this is not designed to chiptune the car.
It breaks very soon !!

What's the point of the revs being stuck constantly @ 4000 rpm?

the point is getting the best possible acceleration since the maximum engine power is @ 4000rpm

It would say it's preety fast. It's practicly the same as much stronger 1.8 t (160ps).

my father have the exact same audi ..
A4 2.0tdi 143hp/320nm but we have a chip.
it is chipped up to 191hp/422nm, it is fast but you cant go over 4000rpm so we cant drive in S mode.
original 0-100=9.4
with chip 0-100=8.2 but it was'nt full throtthe.
CHIP IT!
audiforumblog 2 years ago
This is full throttle? What about the S mode?

in S-mode it's nearly the same time. i testet it in A6 4F 2.4 multitronic
