Augh! In Win 7, clicking a window preview from the task bar bumps the window to the foreground. I think that is what users expect when a full-screen preview appears with the window In The Foreground.
What is the point of MINIMIZING when the user expresses interest in a specific window?
@DreadKnight666 I have an ATI card and it works flawlessly in single LCD monitor. But when I use my second monitor to extend my desktop, the desktop effects fails. I wish the linux community will have a solution soon.
It doesn't work with multiple monitors at all, if you try it with 3 monitors for example, it will make the window immovable. I have to disable it to even use my desktop due to this.... (KDE sucks) Also, as for Aero Preview: Windows 7 does it in a different way, instead of already selecting the window when you highlight it in the little pane, it simply displays it and hides other windows.. You left click that little display to select it, or you can right click it and select minimize if you want.
if KDE had the sort of funding that micro$hit as for their developers it wud be a different ball game. All of wat you said is pretty easy to fix .. and kde is at 4.4 right now.. when it reaches 4.5 i'm sure it will be extremely stable and work with multiple monitors.
unless you got any special hardware like very old things and some shit, drivers for the hardware will be installed automaticly, besides, you can try out a distribution without installing it, and you can install it along with windows too. just try it out.
lol your talking to me like i have no experience with Linux 8) i use to use it full time i know enough to be able to survive on it. If i need any windows programs my gaming machine should be able to handle windows XP or 7 in a virtual machine. If I don't like Kubuntu worsts comes to worsts i will just format my hd and put windows back on it, not that hard man. 8)
Glad to hear of your Linux experience CARSandBIKES. sometimes I get some folks eager to give their Windows DOS Boxes a final kick in the rear and I just say as a safety net hold onto it at least on a 20 GB partition because after all, they already paid for it. Then when they see themselves running Linux only and never booting into Windows. Then partition their whole drive to Linux. But yeah, You are more experienced than most. I subbed to you today. Please sub back. Thanks friend!

Just to let you know. KDE3 had tooltip previews in 2002 if you used Kasbar. It was not default but still click-able running task with previews.

Too bad ATI and Intel GMA cards suck hard on linux.
I'm a laptop kind of guy and Linux is blowing me off at times, hope things will get better soon. KDE4 ftw anyway :)

ye i just formatted and no problems have occurred i am experienced with Linux so i got no problems dude 8)

@CARSandBIKES9 That sir, would be a bad move. If you are "going" to linux. Dual boot. Don't format right away. Or use Virtualbox.
