I own a Mac, and I use OSX AND Windows. The Mac fanboys that people oh-so-hate are a dying breed. Most Mac users now use both. OSX is good for some things, Windows is good for others. The pointless bashing on either end really needs to stop. OSX Snow Leopard is a great OS. As is Windows 7. It all depends on your personal preference.

i got a mac for christmas and I prefer it over pc just with general interface and such, tho the compatibility issues have been a bit of a hassle, and I can't stand microsoft office for mac tho hopefully I won't have to use anything other than word anymore, and tis a shame about gaming being so inconvenient on mac tho gaming won't really matter once summer is over as imma have no life for 8 months once that happens :P

@iamdamasta1 You can use BootCamp for gaming. As for compatibility, most hardware is Mac compatible. For hardware that isn't, just replace it with some that IS. Office for Mac IS shitty (well...2011 is a LOT better) but you can always use iWork. It's files are compatible with Microsot Office and it's also cheaper. There we go. I've pretty much solved all your issues. :P

@mafiaman1122 by hardware, i meant peripherals. my bad. and yes, there's a reason most computer hardware isn't OSX compatible. OSX is an Operating System made for Macs. I don't believe in the concept of Hackintosh. It's just another form of pirating to me. People will scream Macs are overpriced until they actually buy one, and realize the experience is worthwhile.

LOL you can't purchase a PC with the same anything as a Mac and Adobe premier Pro is ok but doesn't have any where near as many features as Final Cut Studio, nearly everything you see today is created on it and Sony Studio isn't Pro its in the same league as Final Cut Express and Hollywood is bundled with Macs and no one uses custom editing programs any more! 3D animation programs yes and PC'S really are not used, Windows isn't capable of SMP and many other things!

PC user here. Although a Mac has many features in video editing that a PC doesn't have, PC's excel in nearly every other aspect. A PC has limitless capabilities of what it can do, as long as you know what you're doing. It just depends on what you want to do with your computer, and what type of person you are. I like PC's because I like all of the options and variety. I also can't afford a mac...Damn things are expensive.
