I feel the need to intervene. Dont get me wrong, San Diego is my haven. But there are so many great places in Socal to resort to. LA has a lot of stereotypes but most arent true. I work in Compton and Inglewood a lot and they are some of the most hospitable people. Just like I work in National City and El Cajon a lot and they are some of my rudest most complaining customers. People are people, no matter where you go
A lot of it is nice, but you didn't need to bring in imposters to the area like the killer whales. They are in tanks on land. There are very pretty fish off shore too, you didn't need them either. I'm pretty positive you snuck in a few shots of tropical ocean scenes not seen around here.
@alexjones67 There are too many gangs in L.A. I love the beauty of my city. San Diego is a great place to live Alex. Everybody should want to live in San Diego. It is America's finest city.
Really, the earthquakes aren't a problem at all...just a few small (VERY SMALL) ones here and there. Most of them you can't feel. The weather is really nice..since my school's by the coast it gets a little cold in the mornings in the winter with some fog but then it warms up. No smog at all. Well, none visible.
@lardospanko The illegal thing is hilarious. There are illegals everywhere and I would rather have illegals who are trying to support their families by working hard than toothless hicks who do nothing but complain and eat.
Overrated for nothing? it's known for being laid back and nice weather. That's what it gives so I am not sure how that can be ovverrated. California is not overrated as a whole either. Where else do you have so many different unique towns, cities and climates? Cali rules
@lardospanko The earthquake and heat wave argument is so stupid. lol. I mean Tornados and hurricanes and humidity that the south and midwest get is much worse than any earthquake here. The major quakes and hea waves don't even happen that much.

People need to go to Garnet Avenue during a big sporting event. Thats a cool street to stroll at all times of the year especially on GAME DAY. Be it soccer or American football fans representing various teams from different states & countries flock to Garnet plus Garnet ends at the boardwalk which is a huge bonus cause the boardwalk is special. In this area of town if youre not in a bar a lot of people are outside milling about availing themselves to you & your team of investigative journalists.
@PhuckHue2 San Diego is amazing to visit, great food, shops, entertainment, its got it all but they also got a ton of bumbs which sucks :( Would be the perfect place without them all over.
@HatTrickGamer by product of a terrible economy. It's like that everywhere. I only go to La Jolla beach and Mission Beach. If you go to Ocean Beach it's bum city. The police are working on it though, there has been too many complaints
san diego born and raised right here. It is the most classy and sophisticated, most open minded least corrupted and most understanding and best place in the U.S.
Ahhh beautiful San Diego or in other words Saint James. Or, as Ron Burgundy says Of course in German it means a whales vagina. The zoo there is supposed to be something incredible! I dont know. Everything Ive read or seen on this subject talks about them having a couple of sex panthers on display. I believe these are endangered as it takes 1 male and 1 female just to create a case of the cologne made by Odeon. It's illegal in 9 countries, I think.
i got a question. lets say a house in san diego costs $7 million and the realtor wants you to pay a 10% down payment..... do you actually have to pay the realtor $700,000 in cash????? i'm 18 and just so worried about it. dont they have people that manage other's finances?????
I'm 16, lived in wales (uk) my whole life. Just looking at videos of places like this.. makes me dream. I want to move to somewhere like this sometime!
I miss my home so much when I found this video I cried actually, the music is perfect and it's one of my fave songs from sade. I'm in texas now and it's been hard.
I'm from San Diego and now live in North Carolina. I lived there my whole life and I've been here for going on two years. I'm 37 and I grew up blocks from the ocean. It is called, 'America's Finest City' ! The one thing that makes the biggest difference in any town, big or small, is the attitude of the people who live there. People there are so easygoing, laid-back and friendly. I mean you may run into someone at anytime that thinks he owns the town but most people are nice. Expensive, though!
Yeah I agree. The people in San Diego are friendly. Girls in my town that doesn´t know me never starts talking to me but some good looking girls in San Diego approached and started talking to me and that´s good cause I´m a little shy. I surfed for the first time in my life last summer in San Diego. There are some girls that are a little stuck up in San Diego but most that I met were friendly and nice.
I went to school in Chula and I remember seeing Mario all the time in Junior High. I had a huge crush on his cousin Eddie! I wonder is Cameron part Latina?
ROCK ON and SHOUT OUT for bringing San Diego to the world!!!! Have room for one more San Diego song??????
Live a little bit of San Diego feel in song, "Our Town" by Pulllman Standard.
See the signature San Diego lifestyle in the TV edited version of "Our Town" on YouTube. The authentic original song "Our Town" is on Pullman Standard myspace site. DEFINITELY worth the listening.
I am going to San Diego at the August for my brothers USMC graduation. I hope that I can get to do some sightseeing while I am there. Anything I have to see before I leave?
the beachs OB and Mission for sure. gaslamp downtown is awesome. mission bay (sea world) balboa park (world famous SD zoo) whatever you do...go find a Roberto's to eat the best mexican food ....
Great video! I miss San Diego so much. Best 4 years of my life. I had some rough times while I was there, but the people, places, weather, and scenery always could bring a smile to my face. Thanks for posting:)
it looks gorgeous! this is probably one of my favorite videos! i wanna live in san diego, LA, or some other city in California, but i am such a big procrastinator, so my grades basically go down like crazy. i am failing three subjects and i cant seem to focus on anything related to school. i am doomed! i will probably never move to Cali. what is up with my life?
Whenever I visit from Arkansas...San Diego is exotic! After deplaning, we whisk ourselves across the Coronado bridge and have a great dinner at Peohie's! The city skyline is beautiful, especially at night, and the food is fantastic!
san diego IS exotic...just we who live here in SD forget that a lot of the time...go to coronado beach, you feel like you are in paradise, here you are on this beach, by the hotel del coronado, with a peninsula to your right, and the coronado islands straight ahead....up in pt. loma its exotic by the carillo monument, la jolla is very exotic...san diego is very exotic but if you live here, sometimes you can just forget. You should do a "tourist day"...even if you live here. its fun
German, I know what you mean! I live in Michigan and it's kinda depressing having to stay indoors almost 4 months out of the year because it's freezing outside and sooo cloudy. I live in the 9th cloudiest city in the U.S. ugh! When I lived in SD, I never got bored because you can always do something outdoors. I need to move back one of these days.
What is up with the weather in the midwest? its April and its cold as fuck in Chicago. last year spring was like right around the corner? what the fuck ever happened to a nice, warm spring break and spring in general?
I know what you mean. I live near the Lake Michigan Lakeshore and we are supposed to get up to 9" of snow in the new few days! ahhh!! It's April and almost a foot of snow is forecast! I wish I could teleport to S.D. !! LOL
i live in the Midwest but i just love san diego. the weather is amazing. here in Chicago we're freezin our butts off. i just want to go to san diego right NOW! the video is awesome.
It´s a lot easier to drive in SD than in LA. I like the girls in SD. They are friendly. Girls in SD approach me and start talking to me and that´s good because I´m often too shy to approach them.
Some can be stuck up but there are stuck up girls in all cities.
LOOOVEEE this town. we moved out here when i was six and now im going to probably go away to college but i will for sure be right back here again when i'm done!
My favorite restaurants in SD: Fast food burger: In & Out. Pizza: Sammy's wood fire pizza downtown. Beer & Burger: Danny's in Coronado (awesome burgers!). Italian: Spaghetti factory (heard it closed down?) Hot wings chicken: Wings N Things Desert: Cheese cake factory! mmmm
Beaches, food, entertainment, the people, Chargers, weather, culture, diversity. I LOVE SD : )
I justed visited san diego last week. I lived there in the mid-90s, but now live in the Midwest. Oh my!! The sunshine, beaches, beautiful scenery, very comfortable temperatures, sea life are heavenly!! I noticed right away that people seemed much happier in SD than in cold dreary locations. Why I ever moved, I don't know. My happiest memories are always from in San Diego! So much to do and it's sooo FUN!!
Cool video!

Expensive, though!
beccavenus 2 years ago
Yeah I agree. The people in San Diego are friendly. Girls in my town that doesn´t know me never starts talking to me but some good looking girls in San Diego approached and started talking to me and that´s good cause I´m a little shy. I surfed for the first time in my life last summer in San Diego. There are some girls that are a little stuck up in San Diego but most that I met were friendly and nice.

collegegirl1988 2 years ago
every now and again. but they are very small. and i mean very small.
bobtheball33 2 years ago
@collegegirl1988
San Diego earthquakes are usually small with no damage.....you can't even feel most of them.
I am pretty sure there has never been a deadly earthquake in San Diego.....

Come on I thought Germans were supposed to be smart.
Get off your ass and go get straight A's.
Stop disappointing me.
Also don't go to L.A., they get big earthquakes...so does San Francisco.
The best city in California is San Diego...I don't think they ever had a deadly earthquake.

wow...you kind of make san diego look like an exotic place....haha
its not exotic, but still a great city
fabianation 2 years ago
Whenever I visit from Arkansas...San Diego is exotic! After deplaning, we whisk ourselves across the Coronado bridge and have a great dinner at Peohie's! The city skyline is beautiful, especially at night, and the food is fantastic!
johnsmileyjr 2 years ago
san diego IS exotic...just we who live here in SD forget that a lot of the time...go to coronado beach, you feel like you are in paradise, here you are on this beach, by the hotel del coronado, with a peninsula to your right, and the coronado islands straight ahead....up in pt. loma its exotic by the carillo monument, la jolla is very exotic...san diego is very exotic but if you live here, sometimes you can just forget. You should do a "tourist day"...even if you live here. its fun

Damn it, I ended up moving back to the midwest to go to school (my family is from there) but my heart is in California, I must live there!
I want to live in San Diego by August this year :(

German, I know what you mean! I live in Michigan and it's kinda depressing having to stay indoors almost 4 months out of the year because it's freezing outside and sooo cloudy. I live in the 9th cloudiest city in the U.S. ugh! When I lived in SD, I never got bored because you can always do something outdoors. I need to move back one of these days.
OpenMindMatt 2 years ago
What is up with the weather in the midwest? its April and its cold as fuck in Chicago. last year spring was like right around the corner? what the fuck ever happened to a nice, warm spring break and spring in general?
GermanEaglePatriot 2 years ago
I know what you mean. I live near the Lake Michigan Lakeshore and we are supposed to get up to 9" of snow in the new few days! ahhh!! It's April and almost a foot of snow is forecast! I wish I could teleport to S.D. !! LOL
tommymxmi 2 years ago
Are we really supposed to to get some snow in a couple of days? if yes then i am gonna be so pissed! LOLS! no offense.

It's so beautiful and I love Sade. ;)
miuraexpress2005p 2 years ago

I LOVE SD : )
tommymxmi 3 years ago 3
I justed visited san diego last week. I lived there in the mid-90s, but now live in the Midwest. Oh my!! The sunshine, beaches, beautiful scenery, very comfortable temperatures, sea life are heavenly!! I noticed right away that people seemed much happier in SD than in cold dreary locations. Why I ever moved, I don't know. My happiest memories are always from in San Diego! So much to do and it's sooo FUN!!
