  • Maybe I'm misunderstanding the point of this exercise, but isn't the point of training learning NOT to get cut?

  • @swordnerd108 Sifu Young explains it quite clearly, the purpose of the drill is to learn flow and how to keep going even if you get cut. When you are doing drills you are trying to get repetition in technique and the courtesy of any respectable martial arts training is that you exchange with your partner, you win then he wins. You don't get to win every time, that would be an incredibly self centered practice and very unrealistic as well.

  • @ImmaSkater25 what an ignorant statement. Immaskater... so you skate? How do remember how to olie or to kick flip or anything else you do.??? You practice and train until it becomes muscle memory- after a while you don't have to think about it. That's why they keep saying "flow"... because you want to learn to flow without stopping and pick up variables as they appear..... WHY ARE PEOPLE SO IGNORANT
