Samurai 7 - Trailer

I know, I know. I hate mecha animes. But this one is worth a shot. It's got a nice steam punk feel -- the mechs aren't all there is, even though they play a role. The character development is just AMAZING -- such believable personalities. If you can look past the machines, you'll find a well-planned, deep and deeply moving show. It was great.

This series is hardly about robots. The first half of this trailer is not proportional to how much robot action there is, as there really isn't quite that much. Instead of complaining about it, why don't you just give it a shot? And then judge for yourself.
