  • @xmax800 hab gehört die sollen mit dem Alpina B3 3,0 triebwerk fast identisch sein, jedoch finde ich den sound vom US M3 geiler als vom B3 3,0

    wie sieht es beschleunigungsmäßig mit dem S52B30 aus, kann der mit dem europäischen S50B30 mithalten?

    Ich weiß nicht genau, aber denke schon, dass der europäische mehr bringt, da der amerikanische eigentlich ein ganz anderer Motor ist. Ich meine gehört zu haben, dass es ein veränderter m52b28 ist und der am. ist eher auf Robustheit ausgelebt wegen minderwertigerem Benzin etc. Auch haben ja die Amis nicht so mit Umweltbestimmungen.

  • It is a S50B32, but the uploader of the video doesn't react to my comments and messages I sent him because of the wrong discription of the video.

    So every few weeks I post comments here to tell the viewers that there is a S50 inside.

  • Dude, I simply tried to say that the E30 M3 has a 4-cylinder engine without reading the headline properly, so I didn't see that this car has a S52-engine. A lot of people think that the E30 M3 has a six, like the 325, so I hastily jumped to a conclusion without checking the headline thoroughly.

    By the way, a 4 can definitely sound fat with a good exhaust system, so it's an honest mistake.

    Erst einmal wundert es mich dass du auf einen S14 tippst, denn wie ein S14 klingt der hier ganz und gar nicht. Verbaut ist ein S50B32.

    Ich hab dem der mein Video hier eingestellt hat schon ein paar Nachrichten geschickt, aber scheinbar ignoriert er sie.

  • @M3ikl bro i dont agree with you. the s52 is 250 hp i driven one with s52 e30. it is LOTS of fun. trust me. 150 miles. we pushed it. just with a turbo and fixing up other stuff its uncatch able.

  • @zepyoor1234 of course the S52 has 250 hp, but this car is equipped with a S50B32 EURO engine with 321 hp. The title and discription of the video is just wrong, because I didn't upload the video but own the car.

  • @zepyoor1234 When taking the video only a different exhaust and a different air filter was attached. It is a Folger Motorsport exhaust and a K&N air filter. Now I got a modified software with a smoother VANOS curve, a little more rpm in 3th to 5th gear and no more power limitation in 1st gear.

  • @zepyoor1234 I don't know if this is possible. As I said I have a Euro S50B32 engine which is totally different from the US S52B32 engine. The S50 for example has: Individual throttle plates for each cylinder, Double VANOS, Lightweight pistons, Dual-mass flywheel, Graphite-coated conrods, Larger inlet valves.

  • @zepyoor1234 u need euro S motor,the us spec is just a bored out m50,would be cheaper u get a euro motor frm the UK or germany or a S54 from a wrecked e46,those got 340hp!! with a motec/vems management&proper tuning u can have 350 + whp!! NA!!!

    i'm from europa and big e30 fan seen and driven lots of s52 e30 and those allot faster..

    my 2,7i stroker with 240hp is faster man..

    Because you said it should be faster: I think that the car looks slow has to do with the camera used, because somebody else thinks the 0-260 kph video I uploaded is a fake, but it isn't.

    So yes it is an M3 ( engine )..

    da is der komplette Antrieb ausm Z3 M Roadster drin, also S50B32 (NICHT S52, ich weiss nicht wer da drauf gekommen is), das daran angebrachte 5-Gang-Getriebe (nicht 6 wie im E36) und das gesperrte Differential mit Übersetzung 3,15.

  • nice, but shame its the S52 not the full on S50. btw to the ppl comparing S52 to S54 there is no comparison. one (S54)is a full on ///M engine the other (S52) is simply a breathed on regular engine cos the US couldnt handle the proper M3 engines

  • Hi, even if it looks slow, it isnt ;)

    0-100 km/h: 5,7 secs (with wheelspin, I think 5,5 or better is possible with a perfect launch)

    0-200 km/h: 17,5 secs. If you type in my nickname on Google Video you can find a 0-260 km/h video.

  • Hi, I'm the owner of the car so I can give you some infos about it: The color is Porsche RS green and I bought the car in that color. I bought the car with a M30B35 engine, switched to M52B25 and now (finally ;)) to a S50B32 (NOT S52). As you can see I'm a inline 6 fan. The car won't be used on the race track, so the handling of the car with the heavy S50 is still good enough for the roads. The car has a Folger Motorsport exhaust system. 0-60 mph: 5.5 secs, 0-120 mph: 17,5 secs

  • I agree and disagree with the keep the S14 comments posted by others. For an S52 I would rather keep the S14, because the S52 is just a bored and stroked M52 engine. If you were talking about a true M motor, say a Euro S50B32 or even a B30 then yea ditch the S14. Even after having said all that though, I would still drive that car, lime green and all. You guys are being too obcesive about the weight, the S14 is not that light...

  • amazing car congrats noone can underestimate the amount of work that took! - I have an S14'd E30 and I think if BMW's best engineers thought a 4 pot was the right way to go, then you can bet that it is! Agree I WANT MORE POWER though - a works 4 pot perhaps!

  • S52 motor is a sweet thing, far more reliable than the S54 which could suffer from from oil starvation. this is a perfect M3

  • It is, but the reason BMW used a 4cyl powerplant instead of 6 cyl was for the weight distribution, so the handling with an S14 is gonna be better.

  • Yes you right, S14 is better than S52 for acceleration of engine RPM and this is original,Also I prefer S14 on E30 but S52 more powerfull and have big torque value after 4000-4500 rpm and voice is better than S14, Besides from Turkey we havent got enough experience and new parts for revising S14 engine.

  • Green Colour is perfect choise for E30 m3, and voice is succesful also E36 &cylinder engine better than  E30 I4 cylinder engine!

  • Mostly Orijinal E30 M3 engines are old and worn out, For this reason own of car perefer to add new engine to E30, Because reviving to old engine is very expensive than adding new engine Besides E36 M3 engines(290-340hp) more powerfull than E30 M3 engines(156-192-238hp)

    I would of kept the S14 and revised it... Car would be worth more too if you would ever sell it. Btw, an S14 yelling at 7500rpm, nothing tops that :-)
