Not to mention, she was so happy that she gave away $100,000, but also, she's a Class Act and Speaking of Class Acts
Dick Clark shows why he belongs on Pyramid
He's not only an EXCELLENT Host, but he is also a Class Act whenever a Contestant wins money even if it's $100,000, he just stay back and let the contestants have their moments
John Davidson should take a page out of Mr. Clark's Book and learn to not jump during their winning moments
Man the judge was way too generous on this one. "Police agencies" are not "enforced", and "curved" is synonymous with "warped. Both should have been buzzed.
Really not fair to the other contestants, IMO. I believe Shelley Smith also got away with "old fashioned Japanese women's feet" in another $100,000 win, which also should have been buzzed immediately.
They may be synonyms, but in the judge's defense a piece of curved wood does not necessarily make it warped. A warped piece of wood is unusable, one would think.
Police Agencies should have gotten buzzed for Things That Are Enforced. They're not enforced, they DO the enforcing. There was an old one (I think it was Things That Are Chopped) where "A hatchet" was buzzed because it's not something that is chopped, it does the chopping.
someone posted a video of richard's wife on the new 25000 pyramid. she won 25k that day. so this is not the firs go around for the mahaffey's. if the show comes back will the son continue the tradition
Police Agencies aren't enforced, they *do* the enforcing. And considering that they once buzzed someone (later overturned) because they said something that attracts isn't attractive, I'm a little bit surprised they didn't buzz Things That Are Enforced.
@mjhunt1 according to roget's thesaurus (the on-line version) they are synonymous. It's been over a quarter of a century since this, and why it wasn't buzzed will forever be argued. I have three theories, take them as you will... one: the producers wanted the tournament not to go into a third week; two: the judge missed it or three: he got the answer so quickly, there wasn' t time to buzz him and they didn't want everyone to run on stage only to tell them that he'd lost. Who knows???
Everybody came out during this win, MARYANN the director, I think BOB STEWART, TOO.

Shelley looked stiff during the win.
tpir1972 2 months ago
Did they have to onate the $25,000 to charity being the $100,000 was over the then $75,000 cap or keep it all?
tpir1972 6 months ago
WARPED was one of the hardest in this round. ENFORCED was also not a cakewalk either.

I dunno -- warped and curved seem like synonyms to me. If I was the other contestant I would have been a little peeved.

I counted down with the clock to see how much time they had left. If I counted correctly, they had only 3 seconds left! Talk about down to the wire!

I recall how fun it was after a $100,000 win; you saw the board go "nuts!"

Hahaha!! Right? It's da Pyramid's happy dance... lolz.

@carchavtube Yeah, that's a beautiful part of this part of a show like this. Much like Match Game when you saw practically EVERYTHING imaginable.

I wonder if the $100,000 Pyramid in 1985 was created thanks to Michael Larson's big win on PYL a year earlier.

This was so cool... I wish I could win $100000... 3 seconds left... WOW... what a relief for him...

at least they still won $100,000. I thought they will NOT get "Things that are warped".

yeah, but they still did the salute!

@pricefan87 Well, the producers decided that.
