I actually have one of these, not restored, in my barn. It ran when we stuck it in there 5 or 6 years ago, but it sure doesn't look like yours does. Beautiful Job restoring yours. I think I am just getting rid of mine. I have an old Czeck bike out there too. Probably heading for ebay soon. Again, what a beautiful restoration youv'e done.
Memories, I was 9 when my brother gave me his. Truly a feeling of freedom, summer days riding all day, fixing all night. The Harley shop that always helped. Parts were hard to come by even in 1971.... Loved it...... thanks for the memories..top speed on mine was about 42mph on a good day...

Great restoration! I bought one yesterday, complete and all original for $700. even came with original owners manual, shop manual and parts catalog, Original perrelli's are in great shape and still hold air! I need a front fender and throttle cable...any suggestions where i can find? Looking forward to when it looks like yours!
The fenders are on ebay now and then under aermacchi. You have to make sure you a fender that had the 17 inch front wheel. The 1965 m50 had a 18 inch front wheel. Throttle cables are aslo on ebay. Just keep checking ever day. I have 0ver 20 of the Itain harleys and am still looking for more. There are a couple years that I do not have.
hey you got a deal i just got one i pay $600 and need more than a cable and pharellies?? i thought they were worh more? shit it looks classic i still have to paint it anin restore it shit is on sale for $400.. as is!
Hello, i started out on a 65 or 66 m50. looks just like the one in your video. i have one picture of me sitting on it in 1973. i was 11. like you said, everything would pass me. sometimes people walking.... lol. i have a 72 65cc leggero that i started restoring in feb of this year. i was at the dump back in 85 and this guy was throwing it away. i'v had it 25 years in my shed. it has 1,100. miles on it. your 66 really takes me back. what a blast from the past! thanks
Thanks for looking, You say you have a 72. That should have the open springs on the shocks. Blue in color. I am looking for a 72 if you are thinking about selling it. I am trying to get every year they made them and that is one year I do not have.
I HAVE REAR PEGS ON MINE THAT SAY MADE IN ITALY, SO DO MY 17" RIMS THE BACK TIRE IS A 2" pirreli, it says 12,500 miles on it. everything else is identicle to yours even the kick starter. no windshield though. also what kind of oil do you use and what is the mix ratio, i noticed a little rust in the tank?
Yes I started out on a 1965 M50. Was the slowest on in the pack of kids who had bikes. Even the Wizzers would pass me. I still have the bike and 17 other ones. They bring back memores to me and I hope other guys that started out on those little harleys
I bought one of these for 30 dollars in 1971. It was missing most of the exhaust, headlight and tail light. We put a big knobby tire on it and rode it through the woods. I was racing a girl on her Suzuki 50 and was in the lead until I jumped a root across the path and the lower front forks and wheel came off in mid-air. I wasn't hurt, but all the neighbor kids saw it and got a big laugh. I sold it for 10 dollars around 1975-6 when a neighbor kid wanted it.
just when i thought harleys could get any shitter

Wish I'd kept it!
