How is this cell shaded turd compared to Skyrim? Get a real game engine. Graphics only don't matter up until you give up and cheap out with cell shading.

The gameplay isn't the most innovative or original, don't get me wrong the gameplay is fun, but where this game really excels is the story and story telling. the narrator really does a fantastic job at telling this amazing story. the soundtrack and atmosphere really immerses you in the universe and makes you want to keep playing to uncover the mystery of the calamity. I definitely put this in my top 5 games of 2011

@Geno746 The PC version is better. The only thing worse is that the directional controls are a little off, but you could just plug in a 360 pad. Also, the new Stranger's Dream DLC is free on PC but Microsoft makes you pay for it on the 360.
Crazy. I saw it on sale and picked it up when I prepurchased Sonic Generations thinking it was going to be a merely OK indie game that will help kill some time before Generations unlocked. You can only imagine my reaction when I played it, this is easily the best game I played all year and I don't say that lightly. Deus Ex 3, Witcher 2, etc. they don't even touch this. It's also the first game I played in a decade where did three back to back playthroughs.

@Taichimaster01 I pulled him up and evacuated. I know its just a game but if that was the world, If the calamity happend all because of prejudice and hate. Then to have the bastion nearly destroyed only to have everyone finally learn the lesson "we could have all lived together if we tried". Trying to reverse that learning, to destroy that gem of humanity. It's not worth losing everything we have, just so things could go back and we might even make the same mistakes again the second time.
I have a playstation 3. I want this game :(. Microsoft's bullying policy of "exclusivity or we wont publish your game" is harsh and unfair. Xbox gamers may get the games first, but they often lose out due to the publisher releasing bonus features on the game when they finally do publish on other formats. Kind of like a "Sorry Microsoft are arseholes for making you wait" gesture.

I've been playing games my entire life, but Bastion has been a completely unique experience to me. It's simply amazing, no other word for it. Beautiful, creative and charming. I loved every second of it and the ending was awesome!

I tried to play the demo for this, but it wouldn't run on my computer at all. Considering my computer can run Starcraft 2, specs aren't the issue here.

Wasn't a fan of indie games, never had much respect for them, saw Bastion out with a whole lot of recommendation, rewards and stuffs. Thought: "Dang, that's a bit too much praise for a half-ass looking game." Tried the demo, interested in it, bought it. Now, good bye pirating, hello supporting. @RokuRG I agree, internet downloads greatly simplify the process, make it far cheaper and even quicker sometimes. I think that as internet becomes faster and cheaper, and vg purchases via downloads become more mainstream, piracy will decrease. What I said at the beginning, and continue to say now is that piracy exists for various reasons and that many people both profit and benefit from it, just as much as people are hindered and robbed of their earnings by it.
@RokuRG not everyone has bought their own PC though, I donated my computer to an employee who could never have bought a computer let alone games by himself, so not everyone can afford to pay exorbitant prices for a game. He has no internet access because it is too expensive for him. I guess it is great living in a country where internet is pretty much given to you on a platter isn't it? I purchase most of the games I play, the others are freeware games. I do not pirate.

Don't have much time for videogames now though but, still the ones that weren't just a 60$ money grab or a 4h long shitty "wait for part 2 ending" junk. For instance in Venezuela, you have todo a shitload o paperwork to get 400 electronic USD (yup, only for internet) and another shitload of paperwork for real $s. Wasn't a fan of indie games, never had much respect for them, saw Bastion out with a whole lot of recommendation, rewards and stuffs. Thought: "Dang, that's a bit too much praise for a half-ass looking game." Tried the demo, interested in it, bought it. Now, good bye pirating, hello supporting. Bastion 2, definitely gonna buy it first day it launches.

Why do people always assume people who pirate games do it only because they dont want to pay for them?
Up until Steam and digital downloads became more mainstream, in a lot of countries piracy was the ONLY way to get video games.
And yeah, ill admit it, i played my share of games that way. But whenever i went on trip to the US id buy originals.
Some people just cant wrap it around their head that not evey place in the world is like the US, with a GameStop in every city...

And here in the Philippines it seems impractical to buy an XBOX because you have to pay yearly to go online.
Majority of Filipinos have PS3's
I have a friend who has an XBOX and I envy him because he gets to play HALO but but after his free year was done he didn't play online anymore
And Bastion was a XBLA exclusive so I had to pirate from a torrent
But I would buy it on PSN store

But Bastion was a game I had to play because people said it was so good and it is (Excellent in fact)
If it was only on the PSNstore I would have bought the game, sound track and just give the developers all my money because I love the game so much

Your standard money unit, a dollar, is three times ours, so a say 70$ game for you is 210 for us. Secondly, tho you might be amazed, not all places have a shipping and delivery services worth a damn like the US, and most certainly not at the same prices. I could end up paying twice the price of the game just with shipping alone, IF customs doesnt steal it
Once again, not saying piracy is right, just saying how things work here, whether you like it or not

@Vildasnaga Im not from the US, I live in Europe and I dont use $. 70$ game for ppl in US is still 70$ for you and me. It may be 270 of your currency but its still 70$... I was buying many things from countries like US or even Japan/S.Korea, and shipping is ridicolously cheap (sometimes free) if you'll find a good seller, so stop saying crap cos it seems like you have no idea what are you talking about. And exept you live in the middle of Africa, there is no problem with shipping, really.

@Vildasnaga I know that not everyone are rich, but If you have money for PC or for the console, (and internet to download the game) you also have money for the games. And noone said that you have to buy the game just after its released, you can wait month or two and buy it for half price or even better. And if someone doesnt have 10 or 20$ for a game then, well, I guess he is just poor (not that its something bad), and he have more things to worry about than playing a game...

@RokuRG I agree, internet downloads greatly simplify the process, make it far cheaper and even quicker sometimes. I think that as internet becomes faster and cheaper, and vg purchases via downloads become more mainstream, piracy will decrease. What I said at the beginning, and continue to say now is that piracy exists for various reasons and that many people both profit and benefit from it, just as much as people are hindered and robbed of their earnings by it.

@RokuRG not everyone has bought their own PC though, I donated my computer to an employee who could never have bought a computer let alone games by himself, so not everyone can afford to pay exorbitant prices for a game. He has no internet access because it is too expensive for him. I guess it is great living in a country where internet is pretty much given to you on a platter isn't it? I purchase most of the games I play, the others are freeware games. I do not pirate.

Don't have much time for videogames now though but, still the ones that weren't just a 60$ money grab or a 4h long shitty "wait for part 2 ending" junk. I made a point of buying the good ones and giving the people who make very good games the money they deserve. Bastion was one of them and I sent them a thank you Email as well. It kicked my feet out from under me and suprised me with a fantastic story, one that's very well done.

@aaddaammize The excuse in some countries is that the foreign currency exchange is limted. For instance in Venezuela, you have todo a shitload o paperwork to get 400 electronic USD (yup, only for internet) and another shitload of paperwork for real $s. I am not excusing myself, I did that paperwork and I do have a lot of Steam original games, but a lot of people does not have the time or money to do that. And we, gamers, need to game.
