Great job Ashley. Good interviews. I wore the grooves off two LPs and still have clean copy I bought like 25 years ago. I even killed a CD and then somebody gave me a golden special edition CD with bonus cuts, too cool. Listening to Jimmy Cobb talk about Wynton makin' it happen sent chills up my spine.
I don't know what it is but, I do know this...If you got a music collection of thousands of albums and one of them is not "Kind of Blue" then, your collection is not complete and if you have a collection of one album and that album is "Kind of Blue" then your collection is complete.
"a masterpiece...fav song. number 3..1st time i heard it i was 12 yrs old...i'm in my 30's now, still jammin it like i just heard it for the 1st time. kind of blue, daily bread STILL"
Wynton Kelly was soooooooo underated. Kind of Blue album is one of the greatest albums ever recorded. Everyone on that album was #1. Miles, Trane, Cannonball, Bill, Wynton, Paul and Jimmy Cobb. A 1000 years will go by and this album will still stand up. Let's see if Kanyde West top that!
As great as it gets.
