You beg the question: Did they die for a lie that THEY KNEW WAS A LIE?

Sure people die for lies. But they THINK it's the truth.

There's a crucial difference between people living after the fact and the people who were there to see it happen (or to see it not happen).

If these guys died, knowing that they had made up seeing Jesus, and that He never rose from the grave, etc etc, then they died for a KNOWN lie.

No one from history has ever done this. You should ask yourself this question.

On a diversion, evolutions and scientists seem to endorse something that anyone withn a mind should ahve diffculty beleiving. That is the idea that there was no intelligent design of our world. To think that everything was created by accident and to function the way it does is about as equivalent as a new born baby becoming Olympic champion in any event against the best in the world.

We are sinners and it is impossible for any of us to meeet god's standards of perfection. God's solution was ending Jesus to earth to atone for all our sins and accpting Jesus into our livs is God's solution. Most oft eh other religions are individual people based, where a person needs to do good works for their salvation.Jesus proved that we cannot do anything and only his free gift of salvation will save us.

Sorry for not answering you. I was out of town for a long time. I believe that the Bible is God inspired and that God came in the flesh in the form of his son, Jesus. I will not discuss teh trinity of God, teh father, Jesus, the son and the Holy Spirit, who are all different entities of the same person, God. This is very unlike Hindu which ahs many different entities.

The Bible and particularly, Jesus, tell us that God is fair, but he is a just God and cannot go against his word.

Time is running out for you. You depict God as being hateful, but he loves you more than anyone can imagine. He does not want anyone to be eternally damned, but he is a god of justice and his judgment cannot be reversed once you die. He is willing to forgive anyone for anything, including Hitler. You need to ask him to forgive you of all your sins (yes, we are all sinners and none of us are perfect after confessing our sins to him) or when you meet him after your death, it will be too late.

I don't get it. In some parts of the OT they have God saying he doesn't want blood, but repentance in one's heart. Other things like this also that contradict your orthdx narrative.

But really, it's that you HAVE to see how silly this is. How sick this notion of love you have is. And justice. And rules God can't take back, because it's too late to be decent? Jesus came to show the world that God not only loves you, but is willing and wanting to forgive you. It is never too late, prior to your death, to ask him for forgiveness and accept his son as your Savior. Fiction is your incorrect concept of the truth of God's love. Jesus said that he is the truth and he can set you free.

Your examples have nothing in common with the question being addressed. There have been many people who have been willing to die for something that was a lie, but they did not know it was a lie. Who would die for something that they knew was a lie? NOBODY. The 11 disciples knew the truth and were willing to die because they witnessed the truth.

As God's word has said, eventually every knee will bow and every tongue confess that Jesus is Lord. You need to do it in this lifetime or you are doomed.

The 11 disciples were willing to die beacuese they tought they have witnessed truth. Just like those jews who were willing to die because they believed they witnessed the truth of Baal´s power or the firsth muslims who were willing to die because they witnessed Ala´s tuth trough Muhamads word.

Would 11 disciples of Jesus Christ be willing to die if they knew that he had been killed and remained dead , like other humans? The correct answer is that in the entire history of the world, nobody has ever been willing to die for a lie that they witnessed was a lie. Since they saw him alive again, they were willing to die for him.
