I think he uses SAII when the the opponent likes to jump a lot. Q has no way to counter air attacks while on the ground, other than to parry and SAII.

Well he could use the crouch mid punch as anti-air but it's not efficient enough.

It's also one of his easier moves to air-parry. A smart Q mixes up his anti-air options -- parry-throw, parry-Capture, back strong, crouching strong, back fierce, jumping jab/fierce, or just a plain old jump escape.

The fact that Kuroda's using Q's second super is a nice way saying "I'll win it, but I'm going to hold myself back".

Deadly Double Combination works better against most characters. Critical Combo only works when the opponent's on the ground. Kuroda's also jumping a lot more than he used to, and that's smart, because Q's air attacks have enormous priority, even if they're a bit slow. Besides, all his attacks are slow, jumping or not.

Props to my homie Zato! Everyone can say whatever about Zato's match, but he's playing arguably the best 3S player in the world.

Kuroda could make anyone look free. Take a look at Mester Vs. KO Best Bout SBO 2009, KO makes it look free and Mester is a world class Yun.
