I am Iranian. In 1983, a cousin of mine who was studying medicine in Karachi and was on vacation back in Iran, gave me a tape of Nazia Hassan where I heard this song for the first time. I immediately fell in love with the song (I didn’t know how Nazia looked like at the time, or I had fallen in love with her too). I remember we danced to this song in private parties. Sweet teenage and innocent memories come back to mind. This is how Pakistan was! May Nazia - a great talent - rest in peace!
