i was there when they filmed heavy left handed and candid, saw the band 7 times from '98 to '02, some of the best shows i've been to, the early stuff is far superior to the new direction the band has taken

This is my all-time favorite Cradle song. I was just thankful I was able to see them during the Midian tour (as imo, Midian was the last decent album the put out.) Definitely much more mainstream, but such lush atmospheres, that I couldn't help but swoon.

I recently got a surge of nostalgia for particularly Dusk and Her Embrace, Cruelty and the Beast, and to a lesser extent, Midian. Oh, how I miss those days! Such wonderful lyrics, epic music... all gone to shit. Sad.

@Shemhamphorasch Dani explains that in the mirror (looking glass) you can see reflections, almost like looking into another world. What they did was to add their vampiric fairy tale twist to this small concept :)
