My husband's funeral was today,he was an Airforce Retiree.Totally lost it when they folded the flag & the Airman knelt & gave it to me.If a person's not in tears during that,there's something seriously wrong w/them.I am so grateful to the Airmen that performed this today.It was a sad day,but this ceremony was so beautiful,I had to see it again.God bless our troops,and Bob,you will be missed.
I'm on the color guard in my local High School JROTC, and the one thing that's always been a pain to me and my Color Guard is the flag folding. But these men have it down to an art form.
The most honorable to end you life by protecting others. Those who gave the ultimate sacrifice should get this honorable respect. Saying this, I still don't understand how it is allowed to burn the flag as way of protesting. It does not make sense to me that while people are dying in the honor of the flag you have those who burn it. They should be punished.

They do their job with honor and devotion! Deep down I'm sure they would prefer just to march and not honor a fallen brother!
