Very good presentation. Some things might be outdated. For example, the amount of emphasis on the speed of light might be outdated, as recently particles that can travel at a speed faster than light have been discovered.
Basically if we aren't alone, which we are not. Then any alien will know what we have and what we have done before we even know we have done it. At the nearest star they would see us 9 years ahead of ourselves..
@Dominoes911 really? where is all this explained in the Quran? just wondering, not trying to sound like an asshole, or anything, I'd just really like to know
Could the difference between quantum and classical physics be because quantum represents the passage of time ∆E ∆t ≥ h/2π itself?
This theory is based on two postulates
1. Is that the quantum wave particle function explained by Schrödinger’s wave equation represents the forward passage of time or Arrow of Time itself photon by photon
2. Is that Heisenberg’s Uncertainty Principle ∆×∆p×≥h/4π that is formed by the wave function is the same uncertainty we have with any future event

@gimp660 so all the matter that constitutes the universe and all the laws of physics just happened by coincidence, right? Even Albert Einstein believed in a supreme creator (not necessarily the Judeo-Christian God, so to speak), but a being that possessed powers that surpassed even the simplest laws of physics.

@11thDim Do you lucid dream? If not it's hard to estimate how long the dream was. Generally dream time is the same as real time, of course you have many dreams while you're asleep so it's hard to estimate even then...
This is so funny to see, how back then when the video was made, they still thought Einstein's theory was true, back before it was discovered that "time" is not a valid inclusion into an equation, since it doesn't really exist. I think the only really valid thing he said was "have you ever tried to define time?" . . Good question, because it can't be defined, since it does not exist. Time as humans know it, or more correctly, perceive it, is really nothing more than a meas. of position change

The Universe was born of chaos. Everything you see came into creation through chaos. There was no plan. There was no intentional creation. The Universe did not, does not nor, theorizing it continues in much the same way it has for the past 14 billion years, will ever require a ''creator''. Through destruction it was born and through destruction it renews itself.
@Falchorn585 And you know this absolute fact how? Are you little man a creator of anything or can devise a universal plan? I think not. Therefore beyond your human comprehension this is all a plan that you do not yet understand.
@mbtrader67 Go outside you sniveling rat talk to a few people about this subject. You may begin to realize that most people without knowing it agree with me. Black holes, supernovas collisions with space debris, all extremely destructive forces yet some create and others are indeed vital for the lives of stars, planets and indeed humans. Science has already put models in front of you for how the young Universe was formed using data found today.
@mbtrader67 I find it humorous that you stating an 'absolute fact' based on absolutely NOTHING.. just your belief. I'm sure you could reply with all the crap about religion proven by physics but please don't waste both of our time. I know this fact due to modern understanding, it's quite a nifty thing. Try it.. see how your archaic explanations and understanding match up to query and intelligence.
when we get out of bed tomorow on planet earth 24 hrs has gone by but elswhere in the universe thousands of years of events may have taken place. We cannot assume other planets time scale is in sync with our own. It's beyond what anybody on earth can comprehend. So in theory 1 second of earth time could mean a million years elswhere in the universe. so just in the time it takes you to blink all sorts could of gone on through out the universe and what lies beyond.
@1982FMJ every animal percieves the world different, with time. It is almost completely the same because of the way electricity travels through animals and their brains. In my opinion, you cant have an animal that basically destroys physics by moving extremely fast- compared to our time scale. That is the reason why time is relative. But time to the universe is pretty much absolute. if it is traveling at a constant, or somewhat constant speed. Cant have planets where animals move much faster.
no theory can ever be said to be right according to a young famous british physicist. think about how our planet has different time zones of plus or minus 12 hours. imagine the similar thing across the universe and think what the difference in time scale will be of plus or minus thousands or even billions r trillions of years. you feeling me? but i do also get ur point about how eveyrthgin on our planet is in scyncronization. but i do think our the universe throws out some of our earth sicenc
@1982FMJ man i tried to explain that to my teacher and hes all christain right? so he tried to say that all time in space revolves around earth -.- fuckin narrow minded fucks
... happened in a timescale different from that described in the Bible. If, however, he is merely referring to an unknown creator or non-specific God, I don't think there is any problem. Just be aware, if you call yourself Christian, that the Bible has thousands of illogical "facts" and immoral scripture passages that DO NOT agree with modern-day science. If you can forget all about the BIble and still believe in a creator that is great, just don't get stuck in an outdated hateful book.
I don't have a problem with the guy bringing up God in a science video. What amuses me is that he is most likely referring to the judeo-christian God. If that is the case he should read the Bible before trying to merge science and religion. The Bible claims creation was 6000 years ago and he continues to talk about galactic events that occurred millions of years ago. If "God" is the same "God" of the Bible, he would be pissed off that you praise his name and then claim creation...
So all the stars and galaxies we see in the night sky right now could be destroyed or non existent? Yet we wouldn't know if they were or not because of the distance that their light must travel to reach earth? WOW
Free energy is finaly here! But Millions are spend in supressing that information,Get a motor that needs no gas or electric input at LT-MAGNET-MOTORdotCOM ,Be part of the revolution!
It would be great to see an updated remake of this. Not much content would need to change, but for an audience to pay it due attention, it should have some more content relevant to modern science. I say this because I agree with albrechtus, who said, "excellent! really powerful ending!" And the implication that everything we do is permanently recorded in time, is something we should all consider deeply as we go about life.
So this just means that there actually are intelligent creatures in space. We just don't see them because light has been deceiving us. Just as what we see is the twinkle of the stars but in actuality is their death, these planets must be already inhabited but only their past state is seen by us.
By compressing time, we could travel through space. From one galaxy to another. But I don't think this is possible now. Until we get raptured when Jesus returns.
Time is caused by anything moving through space. This gives the illusion of change. The faster the more quicky things change and the slower it appears in relation. The slower things move through space the faster things change around it time appears to be faster in relation .. Therefore if you could not move anything through space or change anything around the space in relation to it ,time would stop.
Past, present, and future are only perspectives of time, but do not indicate that time flows or moves. Spacetime has often been compared to a loaf of bread, where each slice represents all of space (or perhaps just a region of space) in one moment of time. What we see as the progression of time is really just our conscious mind moving seamlessly from slice to slice. So in all actuality, all moments of time exist simultaneously, we just experience them once at a time.
Awesome video... It's so rare to see such documentaries nowadays, where it dares to talk about an aspect of Science and God. Thank you so much for uploading it! The whole concept of God being omnipresent and omnipotent totally makes sense now.
Could the outward momentum of EMR or light form the forward motion of time and the geometry of spacetime? This would make Heisenberg Uncertainty Principle of quantum physics the same uncertainty that the observer will have with any future event.
Pretty mindblowing for such an old documentary! Though all of us into M-Theory (string) already know what he was talking about, it's presented in a very simple yet marvellous way. And adds to the 50's "look to the future" theme of Bioshock 2 that I'm currently playing. Also reminds me of themes in Fallout 3 as well.
very good eventhou it's almost as old as I am, that puts is in the 50's at least , but time and space haven't don anything except get bigger even our universe is bigger then it was then...At least we can see further now so it seams bigger.. but GOD he's still the same...
i agree with the memory and imagination theory. i also believe this ties into the multi-verse and infinite dimensions theory. with the infinite dimensions theory any possible thing that can happen, will happen, in some random dimension. so, essentially, any thought can be perceived as a vision inside of an alternate dimension. my theory is, the human mind and any other intellectual beings thoughts, are in tune with what happens in alternate dimensions.
Time, space and gravity are illusions. The universe is continually created and resolving it doesnt expand into something, theres no edge, no "size" Entangle entities occupy same space. Not so entangled entities appearing separate to observers. As matter resolves, the illusion of space collapses between them as observed as gravitational attraction and motion as wave functions presses to in-phase becoming one. Cosmic red shift is illusion of matter shrinking not an expanding universe.
Could it be that Time has symmetry and geometry? Newton believed Time was a thing in itself and connected to motion and Einstein believed there was something missing from quantum mechanics. In my video The Paradox of Schrodingers Cat an artist view it is Time that is the Hidden Variable.
if you moved away from earth the speed of light, things would appear to slow down, but as you move back toward the earth it was speed up causing no net change in relative time between the people on earth and the people who went 9 light years and back... but who knows
In addition the thoughts, and imaginations Know no boundaries of time and space. Look at a star and imaging you are there. You've transcended light years of time in an instant.Think of a memory you have, how long does it take you to get there. Thought of the past and imagination of the past or future are not under the restraints of the physical constraints that they seem to be. They are illusory, and subjective according to our experience.
Hey guys i was wondering if the people who went to the moon, they would of gone faster than anything on earth going to the moon.. just wondering would there own watches of the astronauts be in sync wiht our own on earth once they had returned?
what so the guys from the moon and upon returning were in the same time period, and this happens like there is no change with astronauts in the shuttle orbiting earth is that what youre saying
no the time would not be the same time because gravity effects time. it slows down time on earth. the astronauts watches would be running faster then our time
I meant to say it ALSO violates the first postulate. It obviously violates the second, regarding the constancy of light speed, but this shows that the theory needs vary the laws of physics between frames (which directly violates the first postulate). So, this is as good as it gets for visually showing how the theory falls down in every respect! Beams of light could be shown to travel back and forth along the rule to make it clear just how ridiculous it is
Very good presentation. Some things might be outdated. For example, the amount of emphasis on the speed of light might be outdated, as recently particles that can travel at a speed faster than light have been discovered.

Also reminds me of themes in Fallout 3 as well.
ozisvirtual 1 year ago
very good eventhou it's almost as old as I am, that puts is in the 50's at least , but time and space haven't don anything except get bigger even our universe is bigger then it was then...At least we can see further now so it seams bigger.. but GOD he's still the same...
SuperMrduncan 2 years ago
most excellant... a 99%...there was even a glimpse of string theory in there i thought

i agree with the memory and imagination theory. i also believe this ties into the multi-verse and infinite dimensions theory. with the infinite dimensions theory any possible thing that can happen, will happen, in some random dimension. so, essentially, any thought can be perceived as a vision inside of an alternate dimension. my theory is, the human mind and any other intellectual beings thoughts, are in tune with what happens in alternate dimensions.

Cosmic red shift is illusion of matter shrinking not an expanding universe.
spacedecoy 2 years ago
Does that mean someone trillions of light years away typed the same comment you just typed but misspelled shrinking as srinking?

I love these old videos!
Could it be that Time has symmetry and geometry? Newton believed Time was a thing in itself and connected to motion and Einstein believed there was something missing from quantum mechanics. In my video The Paradox of Schrodingers Cat an artist view it is Time that is the Hidden Variable.

the andromida nebula is not another universe it is another galaxy but this was made a million years ago some cool stuff here though.

if you moved away from earth the speed of light, things would appear to slow down, but as you move back toward the earth it was speed up causing no net change in relative time between the people on earth and the people who went 9 light years and back... but who knows

Apeman1991 2 years ago
No. Same thing happens with astronauts on the shuttle.
Tanntolas 2 years ago
what so the guys from the moon and upon returning were in the same time period, and this happens like there is no change with astronauts in the shuttle orbiting earth is that what youre saying
Apeman1991 2 years ago
What I'm saying is that for someone moving at high speed, time moves slower. Watch this video. /watch?v=V7vpw4AH8QQ It explains it very well.
Tanntolas 2 years ago
no the time would not be the same time because gravity effects time. it slows down time on earth. the astronauts watches would be running faster then our time
john2010nyc 2 years ago
I meant to say it ALSO violates the first postulate. It obviously violates the second, regarding the constancy of light speed, but this shows that the theory needs vary the laws of physics between frames (which directly violates the first postulate). So, this is as good as it gets for visually showing how the theory falls down in every respect! Beams of light could be shown to travel back and forth along the rule to make it clear just how ridiculous it is
