@vkorchnoifan In a 500 character comment box? Just not possible! Unless it is to say that non Christian mysticism is false and dangerous, and that Christian mysticism is good so long as it is within the Tradition and teaching of the Church
Which brings me to my next question, Can you have love without justice? Not according to Jesus.
Now I have a question for Real Catholic. The angels were tested. Many chose love or God, and a third chose pride, hate, envy, evil,------------> hell. They had a choice too, so how is this different then our free will?
@icimblind Angels' choice (as they do not experience time as we do) is permanent and "sets" them on a particular path. Ours only does so when we die - we build a pattern which is finished when we die.
When God sends a flood (Noah), or plagues(Moses) , or strikes a person down as He did with Herod, how is free will preserved in these cases? There are limits, is there not?
@icimblind Free will is the choice to do good or ill, NOT the ability to be insultated from the consequences of the actions. God didn't make evil people do evil; He simply brought consequence to them. A murderer chooses to murder - the fact he gets jailed doesn't make it not his fault or choice.
Ultimately it is God who decides when consequences will be rewarded or punished. And if wisdom prevails in free will then it leads one to truth, Jesus. Got it.
"Honest question, why doesn't God himself just destroy any and all evil"?
Because love requires free will. God wants us to love Him back. Human life is an extremely powerful gift. You've heard it said, God loves "unconditionally", I don't believe that. Otherwise we wouldn't need the sacraments, Jesus wouldn't have had to die on the cross, nor we He ask us to pick up our cross and follow Him. Where mercy & love are rejected, justice prevails.
During the flood f Noah, only 8 human beings on the entire earth were allowed to live. The sins of today are far greater. The church is weak and corrupt, politicians have lost their minds, the people are lethargic. I'm afraid there is no hope left
Also, human beings are made in God's image and God has free will. If we don't have free will, we are not really made in God's image. And we are meant to join God with our free will, but with His help.
God Bless You Michael for your messages. It is very disturbing, but I too ask, does not the Pope have the power to remove and replace these bishops and excommunicate them for the damage they have imposed upon our Holy Mother Church? Can't this be done? And send new Bishops to clean the "filth". Can't we form protests for each diocese? There is power in numbers, because one will not be heard. I tried, but was not paid attention to. A Francescan Priest told me do not expect an answer to my email.
There is way too much apathy within the Church laity and even Clergy due to a large degree to lack of OBJECTIVE apologetic background on the existence of God and Catholicism being the True Church. In place of Objective Truths, many Church clergy teach "Subjective" ambiguities. I will pray for you word to be heard ABUNDANTLY Michael.
@7roopzor Because that would destroy free will - the ability to choose to do good or evil. And then there would be no good - because good is not good merely because the actions done are nice, pleasant, and decent - but because people CHOOSE them. If they chould chose nothing but the "good", it would be meaningless.
Michael, I always watch every episode of The Vortex and learn so many things about my Catholic faith. I thank God for making you an instrument in spreading the truths. So holy and divine is the Catholic Church. Yet, the world, through IRRESPONSIBLE MEDIA, has kept on throwing dirt to the Church. There really is the need for all bishops, priest and religious to do the right thing. Pray for me brother. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.
I think you're wrong about the purpose of the church being to stand against evil. I think it's more like to preach the Gospel to every creature and disciple all the nations. In other words, the church's purpose is to save souls, to win souls for Christ and not primarily provide position papers on going green or other such silliness.
Good video. I don't agree that Western Civilization will fall. I do agree with you only way Western Civilization will be revitalized is through a new Pentacost that we are praying for.
@lordtiberius RE: "I don't agree that Western Civilization will fall" ... One wonders if 1500 years ago, you had a similar counterprart who said the same thing about the Roman Empire? God have mercy on us all ...
Thank you for another strong faithful message, Mr. Voris. I will pray a rosary this Sunday after Latin mass for the future direction of bishops who have been wayward. God Bless Pope Benedict. XVI. ♰
Will you come and talk in our Parish. WE NEED YOU!!!

@MrRedExxon28 We should begin by avoiding sinful behavior - and a "list" of what that is is very easy to find and is preached in at any good homily.

Each Bishop has full AUTHORITY in his OWN Diocese.
He is REQUIRED to fight evil by TEACHING and SAVING SOULS in accord with the Gospel.
For issues that can not be resolved within your Parish, contact your Bishop.
If the Bishop is not responsive, send a detailed and documented email to the Vatican with a copy to the US Papal Nuncio in DC.
Know your "Stuff"- - - by reading your "CCC 2nd Ed" - the only catechism from the Magisterium that even Bishops, Priests, Nuns, etc - MUST adhere to.
