i love peter pan i go and see it at panto everytime plus i got the movies + books of peter pan i rememeber when dani harmer came and did it at my local panto one time it was amazing i loved it enough though i think i was the only teenager there i still called out + did the actions at the start:-)

im just wondering something. If peter pan is a boy why is he always played by a girl? Is it because since he is a boy he has to have a higher pitch voice or something? Ive been wondering this for a while lol Peter pan is like my ultimate favorite story and i still watch the disney movie and the 2003 one!

@coolo236 peter is always played by a girl because guys usually can't do all the coreography coractally and also for this spesific play peter is supposed to be a boy and girls have the correct porportions for a boy

The original Peter Pan was played by Mary Martin- a woman. It's not a radical genderbending idea...it's been going on since 1954. Peter Pan (the character in the musical) was written for a girl.

Yeah, it's written for a girl, but it doesn't HAVE to be a girl. It can be a boy. I know a great boy who does it wonderfully. I'm one of the great boys. I know I'm too old for it now, but I can play Peter Pan perfectly.

Personally i think they shouldn't cast peter as a girl. this is supposed to be because peter is like a little boy and he needs to sound like a little kid. in the disney animated movie he is more of a teen and has a boy voice. i like that better.
