  • NO, Mr. Newman, they're NOT supportive of THIS project. Note how I refuse to even call it a 'bypass' - because it's not. And it was NOT a 'great, bold step'. It was an underhanded, slimy ambush to ram a project we don't want down our throats. That infamous 'midnight vote' on June 8th was an embarrassment to public process. Two thirds of the people who have shown up to the subsequent hearings on this issue have voiced opposition. Places29 improvements have been abandoned for THIS.... SHAM!

  • We need this road badly, people have died on rt29 due to the heavy truck traffic. There is currently no way to drive from 64 to 29n without going threw town, it's rediculus. Even little Blacksburg got it done, you don't even see the bypass there but it is now a breeze to get in and out of VT or get anywhere in town from 81. Time to get moveing, get it built PLEASE.

  • If they wanna be ignorant about it just like they are in regards to the Meadowcreek parkway than let em' set it Gridlock. I could use the road improvements in Great Augusta for development land. We need jobs and new develooment, C-ville is big enough and wants as much conservation as it can get, send some development over the mountain.
