I have not heard of and seen this movie? Programme? before but it seems spooky because I am not in to this kind of scarey stories. I scared that I will get night mare after viewing this clip plus the music. To be honest, the Asian Spooky stories are foreign to me and it is better not get in to it thou it is just a story.

If you are not used to Chinese Vampire movies it might be a bit strange to you at first but they really are amazing and show a different  culture, different beliefs. I love them and this story is really heartbreaking.

This is sad and sweet in the same beat. I reminds me of Chin Siu Ho and Pauline Wong in "Mr. Vampire". Every time she was with him, she'd drain bits of life out of him. I guess that was the case here too.

You are right catcat33 but I think we are having trouble with translating that word. I would be so happy if you wrote a few words about them. A few fans already asked what the real difference was between a Chinese "ghost-vampire" and the type we know. We actually use these two words for them.

But i think there r still some difference between a ghost, a vampire and a 妖. I'm no expert on these things (i'm not the type to watch horror dramas/movies :P), but i'll try to describe them:

ghost （鬼）: an evil spirit of a dead person, it doesn't have a body but has consciousness (can think), can move freely between solid walls

vampire（殭屍）: a body of a dead person but doesn't have any consciousness (can't think), it moves by spreading out its hands and jumping with both legs

妖(can't think of english): a living thing (plant/insect/animal) transformed to a human, has body, can move, have consciousness, so this is the most similar form to human except it's originally a plant/insect/animal

Thank you for all these my friend. Your explanation is quite right, maybe a bit uneasy for us to understand. The western religion and belief doesn't know these creatures, so we try to apply our words, but we do see and feel the difference and who watch Chinese movies knows the Chinese term and gets amazed by them.
