  • The music used here is ours. Come and say hi to LongviewLondon on twitter.

  • Support Clean Energy!!! Search for and Watch "The Clean Energy Anthem"

  • check out the stupid ad they played in alaska about clean coal its in my videos (sorry a link wouldnt work)

  • And if you believe any of that I would like to talk to you about a really neat bridge I know about thats for sale.

  • what's the name of this song, i've listened to that song on the radio in 2003 !! yes since then i've been trying to figure out the band or song, PLEASE message me if you know .

  • I wish we as the people could come together and do some not government ran to help the country like the largest scrap metal collection or something. we need to stop sitting back and letting our lives be ruined by our self interested government

  • And as for you little 13 and 14 year olds on here spewing out the liberal crap that the liberal school systems teach. You are being brain washed and set up to be 20 ans 21 year old brain dead slaves.

Think for your selves, Don't let them brain wash you .

You will all grow up to be good little worker bees'

Don't ask questions,Just do as you are told and big Government will take care of you all

  • I agree, Global warming is a hoax and a farce.

There is no scientific data to prove it.

Global warming is just another way to control the masses.

Cap and trade is a joke,Pay to spew out more emissions into the air. Who do you thinks pays for those emmisions the companies ? WRONG...

They pass those taxes onto the consumers..

  • If we could get something for nothing, you wouldnt need to pitch it. Solar & wind doesnt work! Too costly! Atomic energy works & no GW.

  • Hi, I'm Joppe from the Netherlands and I'm almost 13 years old.

We have to do it altogether, because if we keep thinking, like, 'oh, but only me can't help stopping the global warming' well, then it won't succeed for sure. I also hope that the allowance for solarpanels will come back.

Because I have no own home, it doesn't mean that I can't help the global warming. the people with an own home might help more, but I think everyone is in state and has to spare out electricity and gas.

  • Alright, propaganda is of course devouring the minds of children around the world. That's what propaganda is designed for anyways. You kids need to wake up and look around your world a little more. Notice how winter has been colder? Summers cooler? It's only JUST hit 102 degrees here in the American Midwest, and it's almost July, right after Summer Solstice. It's not surprising that it's hot.

The fact of the matter is, if it was getting 'global warmer', it would have done it in May/June.

  • Secondly, there is no man made global warming. The climate is completely cyclical and mankind has such a minuscule impact that it isn't even funny.

However, alternative energy sources are GOOD. I am ALL for getting off of foreign oil. I just prefer to do it honestly rather than forcing the entire population of my country/world into fear of these things. It's retarded and doesn't get us any further as a race, a species.

This is all another way for people to scare you into doing what they want.

  • I'm 14 and I encourage my friends, family and school mates to do whatever they can to help save the environment. Humans may not be the cause of global warming, but we sure aren't doing anything to help it. But at least "Making the Switch" will help the planet even though many think its not the fault of humans (even though I do), we should still do everything in out best interest in saving the planet even if we do it one step at a time.

  • Hi! I am Bella from Toronto. I love the Repower America plan and I hope it gets to Canada. Our class was researching about ways to help Canada's economy and environment. With more people joining in America, it can influence other natons to come together and petition. Bella Cullen, age 13

  • You are 13.

You have NO IDEA of the amount of crap you are going to have to deal with when you are older. This is nothing but a plan to ENSLAVE America and turn it into a 3rd World country.

There is NO shortage of oil.

    There is NO Global Warming.

There is NO such thing as "greenhouse gases".

NASA, just last week, said so.

And while we're at it, IF there was such a "life threatening" climate change, I can guarantee you that humans had NOTHING to do with it.

  • THAT'S BULLSHIT!

actual schools learn people at the age of 10 about he global warming! and nobody has the rght to ENSLAVE all the people.

And there IS a shortage of oil, they even say we can't pump oil enough in 2012, because then people will use more oil altogether than we can pump.

There IS a global warming, but people alone aren't the major cause of it. but were still 20%!! parts of the global warming is natural, but not the whole.

  • btw, this is a reaction on ytnonigs.

  • You're English skills are about on par with everyone else who believes in "Global Warming", which has actually changed to global cooling...But don't worry, as the cycle continues in 22 years, we will have another spurt of global warming...It's cyclical you freaking retards.

  • well you don't have to be so radical and extremist about everything :)

  • Pure Bullshit

  • I cant believe the comments people r leaving! We need to act now to sole global warming and it is real! People that think the global warming isnt real r trashing the planet!

  • Accutally I think no one truelly knows what the hell is going on but at the same time we don't need to trash the planet and we need to get the fuck off oil.

So yeah I'm neutral on all this but I'm not for fucking the planet up its own bunghole.

  • wow you environmentalists look at the ground below all those solar panels

you jack asses ruined god knows how many acres to produce less power for more money than a 1 acre coal fired plant

just like switching to plastic bags to save trees your solutions dont work !!

  • We need more than you just acting like you want to help. Arguing about today's realities is doing nothing but whining, procrastinating in fear, and being an obstruction while the rest of us are trying to do their part. If you don't want to save this country then at least don't get in the way. If you aren't part of the solution - you are part of the problem. Complaining and acting irrational isn't helping. If we continue to cut taxes and spend too much then our grandchildren will have to pay it.

  • You fucking hippies are wrong. There is NO "global warming". Everything is cyclical. Only 20 years ago, these same "scientists" were telling us that we were going into a NEW ICE AGE.

And for you idiots out there...Carbon Dioxide is NOT a "greenhouse gas". There is no such thing as a "greenhouse gas". Got that?

  • In response to some of the recent comments.

I would take this as more of an awareness campaign. " make the switch " as in a conscious switch in accepting that home grown renewable energy sources are available now.

Its better to spend time learning what you can do rather than deferring to the blame game in a way of avoiding action.

Come learn what I have found out on Enviroman

  • Our leaders got us into this mess. We are still driving computer controlled Model T's. That's what they are, Model T's. Surely in over 100 years we could have been driving something better. Too bad our country is in deep recession no matter what lying denial your candidates and politicians tell you. When you see 200% rise in your local economy of homeless and huge crime rise over petty theft with food you are in a a recession nearing a depression.

  • Hey, I know. Why not end the H1B program, eh? That way AMERICANS would go in to the fields of science again (H1B having gutted salaries in that field). Or how about raising tariffs so that AMERICANS would have better jobs and industry here and we could solve this? Just you watch - if this org gets the HANDOUT they are asking for here, the actual WORK will be farmed out to foreigners and foreign-owned shell companies here. Just look at this commercial, would you trust them????

  • What about dependence on FOREIGN GOODS??? Is only the oil bad? What about our trade deficit with China? Why do they conveniently leave that out? Because this is the same band of globalist blood-suckers who just want to fleece the American tax payers like the AIG execs who went to a half-million dollar spa after their "bailout." Don't look to government to solve this. You are becoming a nation of sheep (being led to slaughter) just wanting to throw money at problems.

  • Its amazing how some people still think global warming isnt real. The oil companies have brain washed you alright. The same way cigarette companies had people brain washed in the past, and turns out that cigarettes are addictive and cancerous. It wouldnt surprise me if some people still think cigarettes are good for you. The same way they think Bush has done a good job and our economy is strong.

  • so your talking about mccain right? lol

  • I know one thing is true you all wish you had a Turbine in your back yard right, that supplied all your enegry and allow you to sell all the extra back to the govenment for a profit.

For all you jokers that say that it can't be done, think of the money we can make selling our extra electrical enegry to the world, since most of the products that we product can not be bought by most of the world, they cost too much. So why not export our extra enegry!

That is the reason we should do it!

  • Reguardless. Al Gore is an idiot, and is the last person I would go to for advise on anything. He can shove his new shiny medal up his uptight ass. How did he get that anyways. He didn't solve "Global Warming". And he certainly didn't come up with it. All he did was take a bunch of theories and throw them together in a lame movie. Show a bunch of polar bears swimming, and tell the world the ice caps are melting and get Leonardo to narrate, so people will throw money at you. That's genius.

  • So long as people (usually with little education) use filthy words and derogatory language just because an idea is new and he/she doesn't understand or accept it--we are stopped before we start!

The time is now to do something and IF we are wrong and there is no global warming (yea sure)--then think of how much better everyone's life would be with this re-newable energy! BUT- - - -

There is nothing so blank as a closed mind!

  • al gore is full of it! and so are the "global warming warriors" that insist our world is doing somthing new buy getting warmer......were did the ice age go? the world got warmer! this is nothing new! we cant do anything about it!

    stop the fear tactics!

  • But do you know how much we are speeding up this process? If you spent the time to listen to the facts on top of this you would understand.

  • ive seen the videos, read the articals, heard lectures, it all comes down to the same thing....theory! not proof or solid evidence, just like the "big bang" just theory!

  • Why do you think the climate is changing? That's not enough proof for you? If that's not enough proof for you look at what Al Gore is saying and all his proof. Obviously you haven't searched enough. Or your just to simple minded to believe it's happening. Don't bring religion in this either because all religion into this because what is god? A theory. No one can prove he really exists. It's just a solution for peoples problems. A solution for what people can't understand. And we can prove this.

  • ok so youve got a politician as a figure head...... cos they dont lie! lol

ok ill leave religion out of this, not a problem. this argument isnt going to go anywere, you say im simple minded for not beleaving, i say your simple minded for falling for this b.s.

....you can see how its going to go.

    ill put it like this,

i BELIEVE that climate IS changing, however i BELIEVE that its just natural progression. maybe we are rushing it along, maybe were not. but it was going to happen anyway!

  • Yes but it shouldn't be changing so significantly. We are throwing to much carbon in the air and with us killing the natural cycle (cutting down so many trees)that a lot of carbon is getting thrown off into the air causing UV rays to get stuck in our atmosphere. If we keep going to the way we are then there is going to be a dramatic change. If we went to a cleaner solution then oil it could help our environment and our economy. If you don't agree with this go to Pickens Plan.Clean/officiant

  • you are a joke. Cutting down trees and air polution...that's you're arguement. First off, cows produce more harmful gas than all "Man-Caused" pollution combined. That's fact. Also, cthe depletion of forests is contributed mostly to lack of space. We have too many people. That's fact. So all of you can best help your cause by killing yourselves. Or you can accept that weather happens in trends, and the climate changes on its own. Plus we are due another ice age. Maybe that's it.

  • iT, you're brainwashed and need to look at the real facts. a 1 degree C change over 140 years is a perfectly (actually slower than average) climate warming pattern. The end of the ice age sure wasn't because we were burning fossil fuels.

Just because you believe Gore invented the internet and gave birth to YouTube doesn't mean he invented warm weather.

  • Im not completely talking about global warming im talking about us getting to much foreign oil and we need to make a switch. It would help if we switched to these things for a better environment. Im not brainwashed just smart enough to see that we need a change and it should be for the better.

  • loveit.

  • Blood*Resource

No nation need battle over the sun nor wind, which flows freely to all, thus these and other alternative energies and conservation's are far more cost effective and less expensive, than reliance on a crude resource which builds and maintains the machines, mentality and deadly destructive cost of - W.A.R.

    W.orld - A.t - R.isk

    Peace-All*Ways, leads to Truth,

    Truth-All*Ways, leads to Peace.

    L.O.V.E.-2.0

  • "Meeting this ambitious goal would create millions of new jobs"

And it would cut millions of jobs as you will have no work for the people working to bring us oil.

So really you have not 'created' jobs, you have just shifted them.

And I hope that within the next 10 years we find the break through that allows us to harness the wind and sun for cheaper than we can pull oil out of the ground and refine it. Because that will be the only way the American people change. We do what costs less.

  • shiit im not going to give up my truck because the freaking kelley blue book value keeps dropping my resale just this past few montsh it was at 6000 now at 4800 due to the freakin' ass globalists.shiiiiit if anyone responds in a negative way im gonna fu cking report u as spam.

  • There are solutions out there. We simply have to start using them as individuals. Stop relying on government and corporations to run you life just because its convenient or cheaper. There are several small entrepreneurs developing water powered cars. But most people won't believe it until a major corporation is selling it in their nice showroom.

  • It doesn't matter how much coal there is. Coal burning produces toxic waste such as mercury. The fish are saturated with it. We eat the fish. No wonder autism has risen dramatically not to mention all the other health issues. But so long as the world powers are controlled by oil interests, we will have no change.

  • Ha, seeing as solar technology is advancing greatly they wouldn't take up very much. And as for wind energy-it's much more efficient. Get your facts straight.

  • The fact that some don't mind the horrible things being done to earth because they don't feel that it will come to pass in their lifetime . That by the time(or before) everything becomes desolate and uninhabitable they will have died off shows how incredibly SELFISH people can be! Don't they care that their children or grandchildren will be left behind with nothing? Or is it the "out of sight, out of mind" mentality that so many of the so-called "modern world" have been indoctrinated with?

  • all of you r crazy, this will work(wind and solar) wind and solar can be harnesed as well as stored, and they are doing this because we are running out of coal and other resorses!!!!!!!!!

  • Chills.

  • I used to think that fixing global warming was a lost cause but I always took some solace that the really bad stuff would happen after I died. That bet is not looking so good anymore. The global warming "tipping point" could be reached any year now. There is much greater than a 1% chance of this (per Dick Cheney's criterion for war). What with the permafrost melting releasing methane. Troops should be immediately recalled from Iraq and the defense budget halved to get renewable energy.

  • Ancient Hawaiians had a concept that spoke to doing what we intuitively know is right. It's called "pono." Understanding pono helps us live in balance and creates space for abundance. It's a concept that helped the earliest inhabitants of Hawaii prosper for thousands of years without destroying the natural resources that sustain life. Mankind can thrive and be in balance with nature. We need to remember and believe this.

Renewable energy is pono. Malama pono kakou... mahalo.

  • The song is "Further" by the band Long-view. Love it.

  • I used to think that fixing global warming was a lost cause but I always took solace that the really bad stuff would happen after I died. That bet is not looking so good anymore. I am worried about the global warming "tipping point" being reached any year now, what with the likely permafrost melting releasing methane, etc. I signed up with this group and they make it very easy to be active such as writing letters to the editor with a web prompt.

  • what is the song called in this video

  • I want to know this too haha.

  • Al Gore, turn off some lights in your own house and save nergy.

  • He probably uses fluorescent, or gets his power from wind or something ;)

  • To CRXknight, I think what S1V4R7 was trying to say is that it's sad that all the stupid videos that really have no meaning other than to make us laugh have gotten more hits than a video that is as important as this one.

  • its like raising the flag on Iwo Jima. only its raising the flag on Earth Thanks WE keep up the good work.

  • Beautiful.

  • To S1V4R7 what you 15 yrs old? If you are have you read and of the U.N. science conceals research? To linkypizzark show me proof that al gore is lying about globe warming ?

  • Hells yeah!! We can do it!

  • NOW THATS WHAT I'M TALKING ABOUT!

  • YEAH, GO WE!

  • Pushing for a national switch to renewables is great but what is being said about how we do this, whilst the oil companies and the governments sleep in the same bed. How is this going to end, I say stop the concessions and give an even playing field to all energy producers and hey maybe a concession in the favour of the one that doesnt poop on our own doorsteps. Capitalism needs to be accountable all costs need to be included. If you pollute you offset. And methane needs to be talked about more

  • Unfortunately this campaign is centered upon America. The rest of the world is not concerned. Which is quite a serious problem, knowing that there's near to seven billion people on this planet. I sent Cathy Zoi a mail about a month ago about targeting the whole world as a solution partner. I haven't yet received a reply. Could it be that the USA are trying to solve this all by themselves to get all the glory, or something along those lines?

We europeans would also like to be part of the solution

  • This campaign is centered upon America because we are the worst offenders. We consume more energy, burn more oil than any other country! We are the richest most powerful nation on the planet. We can and MUST lead by example! If we invent new technologies, it will be an easy sell to the reat of the world. But first we have to sell our own government, and I hope things don't get desperate before that happens.

  • I thought of that. It's not because it's the guiltiest that it has to be the only one to save this. This climate crisis is not about glory, it's about survival. We have to put together as many people as possible. As for convincing the government, what can be better than all the rest of the G8 pushing on it to act. I do understand that the USA want to fix their part of the damage, but the rest of the world also wants to help. This is the challenge of our lives, we don't want to just sit and stare.

  • No, there isn't any glory in cleaning up our own slop pile. One hundred thirty-seven countries met in Kyoto in 1997 and agreed on a plan to cut greenhouse gas emmissions. The United States walked away from the table! We weren't the only industrialized nation to refuse to ratify, but once again, we are the worst transgressors! This is shameful! Where is there glory in trying to fix a screw up?

  • It's good that the States want to fix their mistake, but what I'm saying is that by talking to the whole world, not just America, Al Gore and We Can Solve It would have far more influence, and therefore help from other countries in the world. Instead of each country working separately on a solution, the whole world should work together, listening to everybody's ideas.

  • Well by consuming 3/4s of world's resources and having the largest rate of consumption I think collaborating isn't a bad idea.

  • i think that deserves an applaud..i agree with you

  • It's baby steps, really.

The We Campaign would surely work globally, and I am sure they would not oppose a "chapter" of sorts forming in other countries. What they can reach out to, right now, is a more centralized group of people, on a more local area -- in this case, America.

Some of the things they have done to make it easier for citizens, is compile email lists and such to political leaders, newspaper editors, etc. If they had to do that for the world, it'd be a logistical nightmare.

  • This is great. I really hope more people join this campaign, and hopefully we will solve this problem.

  • Well done! See the MIT July announcement about renewable solar day/night electricity. I was so excited about the new developments so quickly by our scientists.

  • 10 years is not soon enough, we need to act NOW

  • This isn't something we can fix in the blink of an eye. We're going to try to get in fixed in the corse of ten years.

  • 10 years is more than enough time.

  • That's great. One thing is missing is what we, the regular people can do to help. Also, what is the music used in the background?

  • There are thousands of great organizations who are educating people on what they can do to help out.

Do some research on the internet and youtube. I'm sure there are local people in your area who could tell you lots of things you could do and I'm sure We Can Do It will produce lots of content soon to help educate people as well.

  • Sounds a little like Timberland - Apologize

  • Well done! I love the visual of the big switches. Puts it in a nutshell.

  • It would be really cool if you could put all that energy into helping.

By posting your link here, you're associating your pseudo-science prophecy with Gore's real scientific prediction. They are in no way on the same level, and so you are just giving ammunition to the people who want to disbelieve science because they don't like what it has to say.

  • couldn't find it but it looks likei t would be a good read.

  • Its sad that this video hasnt been seen as much as stupid videos.

  • starts airing monday on the olympics...nearly everyone should see it...

  • this is cool

  • thanks, you guys rock!
