Why must people always choose the candidate that is the most attractive or is charismatic? People need to start looking at candidates' pollicies and views instead of their physical traits.

if you vote for someone because they are a good speaker then you vote stupid vote on someone because you think that after much research they are the person that can make america prosper
most people wouldn't say something like that on camera without also supporting his stance on the issues. they wouldn't volunteer for him, donate money, and/or go to a public gathering and be interviewed only to soley support him for charisma. think about it... it's almost an assumption, in a way, that the person supports their candidate in the majority of their stances... i think the interviewees were complimenting him rather than their own stupidity.
I want him to be vice-pres 1st. I'm terrified that inexperience could harm progress. If he wins this one there's a good chance a republican will take the next term. Remember people there are more Bush as governors. If he's vice pres then he'll be service for 16 years. 1st at vice-pres then he'll have 8 years as pres.
first of all you act like a jungle man, or uncivilised this is politics why by the word stupid? whether he was a muslim leave him alone, then you look like somebody who´s not busy at all, you got enough time to spread your hate all around
Are all Obama supportes this vauge on Obama's SPECIFIC plan for change? Change is needed but what change? You tube "Obama Samantha Power" it seems Barak wants to leave a residual force in Iraq. He also talks harshly towards Iran. Considering his CFR membership I think he will promote more WAR. Why not vote for someone who speaks directly about his plan for change..... Ron Paul 2008!
Help end Billary's lies, false promises, frauds, and appeals to emotions about gender, race and class. Vote ANYONE but Billary, and send the message-- America is better than all this decline the "Republicrats" are forcing upon us!
Obama speaks well and open to trying work with congress. Right now we need the GOP president in reality to cut spending 20% across the board. Obama good at being postivie, but the reality is the goverment needs to shrink.
Are all Obama supporters this vague about their candidates specific plan for change. Obama may inspire his supporters but what exactly is his plan? Obama foreign polciy is to leave residual troops in Iraq and he has used harsh language towards Iran. He may be talking about ending this war but he leaves room to wiggle.
Are people afraid of facts? How can they talk about how a candidate makes them feel and not sound vapid and illinformed to themselves? Isn't this the same goodfeeling nonsense about a Connecticut blueblood who bought a house in Texas and who liked to drink beers with the good folks?
I agree. I think if people are going to vote and support a candidate, they have a responsibility to do some research and learn more about all of the candidates. However, it is also important for people to rely on the impressions they gain from listening to the candidates speak in public because that is an important part of the president's job.
Why are so many candidates on this list of Judicial Watch's top ten most wanted corrupt politicians of 2007? judicialwatch dot org has a link at the top to the list.
PEOPLE, the past is an excellent indication of the present and future. If your candidate has been slimy before, they will be even more so once they gain the ultimate seat of power. Just consider that.
Wow, not one of the people interviewed mentioned even one policy reason for supporting Obama. Apparently being a nice guy who can trot out a rousing speech is enough for a lot of people to support him.
Great way to judge your vote - don't bother to do any investigation yourself (all of Obama's positions have been well-articulated in speeches, forums and debates, as well as his website), and knock a bunch of strangers in MN for not saving you the trouble. The vote is much, much more valuable than that. Vote for Hillary if you like, but don't be so dismissive.
The point is that these Obama activists didn't mention one policy reason for supporting him (not that he does not have any policies, although listening to his speeches I have yet to see evidence he has read many of 'his' policies himself). His campaign people seem to think telling voters he is a great guy is enough. This tactic is getting more tirsome the longer it runs.
P.S I will be dismissive of such nonsense if I so choose, just as you have choosen to be condescending.
Hillary supporters can't mention any of her positions or policies! They only know that is married tro Bill Clinton nad that she has some supposed experience. Have you heard any Hillary Clinton supporters justify their choice?
Don't mistake sarcasm for condescension. I don't think I'm above you, dude, nor am I trying to start a fight. All I'm saying is - who cares whether these people cite policy at a viewing party that ends up on YouTube? It's up to you, me and the rest of America to do our own homework. And Obama injects plenty of policy into his speeches - perhaps you should actually start listening more carefully instead of blaming him.
maybe we should do our homework and see that he i s muslim and we are in america not an arab country oh and by the way we are fighting a war against muslims i dont want one as my president
Wow. You are ignorant. Prove to me that he's a Muslim, please. I'd love to see that.
And another thing...we are a Muslim country. And a Christian country. A Jewish one, too. A few Buddhists, Sikhs, Hindus and even atheists mixed in, too. I'm a devout Christian, and to think people like you are out there pimping their racist and xenophobic beliefs and calling themselves "Christians"...THAT makes me sick.
actually im the farthest thing from racist... also if you are a devout christian like you say look at mike huckabee he is an amazing christian man i vote for huckabee
You hate Muslims. And you are not a racist? Sounds like you are thick skulled enough to support someone like Huckabee. But so do I. I hope he wins the primary, because the dems would pants him in the run for presidency.
im not racist i just dont want someone to be my president if they refuse to salute our flag and refuse to say our pledge of alliegence. also we are fighting against muslims and he was raised muslim im not racist against them i just dont think that we should have one for our president.
I'm sorry, did you hear that on Rush, or Hannity? He refused to wear the lapel pin, because it has become a superficial symbol for politicians, and he never considered himself a Muslim, but why would that matter anyway? Remember freedom of religion? Kind of blatantly hypocritical to have such a right, and only have Christian presidents. Kind of like preaching against the rights in the constitution, and say, oh I don't know... wearing a U.S. flag lapel pin for example.
ok have you not even studied him he was raised muslim all his childhood..... there was a news report and i saw the video with my own eyes as he sat there with his hands down during the national anthem
That's a lie. He was NOT raised Muslim. His father was Muslim, but before his met his wife and had Obama, he became an atheist. Obama's mother was raised Baptist, and Methodist. Both were non-practicing in the household, which Obama describes as "not really religious" since his father left at age two. He did attend Catholic school for three years, and Muslim public school one. Please read about people before you say things that are not true, thanks :)
dude no offence but you probably have never even studied obama in fact he did not even start going to a church untill like 16 years ago. also he was raised muslim not christian at all his mom was atheist so dont be stupid
Incorrect. Please read about people before you say things that are not true, thanks :)
for your info his father never did stop practicing also his mother remarried another muslim man and obama lived with them most of his childhood. now in the muslim religion a father must raise his son to be muslim and i find it highly unprobable that he did not teach the muslim religion to obama. also his mother was atheist not baptist and methodist.
