This is a great interview into the kind of guy he really was...his addictions go farther than just drugs he's addicted to attention. After watching both the documentary and the movie you could tell that this guy really was longing for love that he wasn't receiving. In a sense his true default was his low self esteem about himself and IMO possibly his sexuality. His story teaches us how dangerous it could be to not love yourself.

Not some innoncent person and he was not even the killer he was in mid-attack and the other guy admitted to hitting him till he died when he was on top of Michael. @mroeyjay He ducktaped a corpes not a living person. He has not been up yet for his second parole hearing and they can only denie him twice anyways and then he gets a natural release. The first time came down to they probably watched the movie that was made about his life. He is not upset about being in jail he is very use to being there a good chunk of his life already. He did not get caught as so much gave himself up he told people what he did. All of his friends but one is dead and thats Jim.
@mroeyjay We also gotta remember the person he murdered was a drug dealer and Michael was addicted to drugs and was on drugs when he committed this murder. He has shown and said he was sorry for what he did and that he wishes he could take it all back. They were both good people whos paths crossed into a deadly battle that ended one of their lifes and in a sense ended Michael's life cause he is locked up he is not living he is existing.
In reality this is tragic because he got bullied....He got take advantage of as a child but a pedefile in the church....And his behavior changed when he got older...It is sad

I've never OD'd because I wasn't stupid and I was very careful with dosage levels, my friends however, were quite reckless and stupid and OD'd many times. What's ironic is they never learn either. They just keep OD'ing. Sooner or later you don't come back. The term overdose doesn't mean death, it simply means more than the body can handle. A fatal overdose is the only one that doesn't come with a story from the user.

Michale has been popped for drugs a bunch of times in prison and no way he'll stay clean very long once he gets out. He has a bad back in prison and was caught with pain killers in his system. He could've gotten out in late 2006 if he didn't get popped so many times for drugs. He's a sweet person and I talked to him many times at Limelight and Red Zone way back in the day. I hope i'm wrong but Michael has that addictive personality. He'strying to convince himself that he can kick drugs.
I feel sorry for him. I mean he didn't want to do all those drugs at the beginning, it was just a tool to get attention. Imagine being in there 20 years. I don't think he really meant to kill Angel, you can see he regrets it.

He only got less time because he helped the FBI in their case against his former boss. He and Freeze could've gotten 30 years if they didn't cooperate,.

We don't know what happened exactly, and we don't know what Michael was feeling and thinking. I would never judge anyone for anything they do. actually it's almost been 3 months in total when I visited him in Attica come to think of it... I one day went all the way over from England, rented a motel room for a while and walked up to the facility despite all the heavy snow Upstate NY on a daily basis; things became extremely friendly and he'll always have a special place in my heart. Like I said we write each other occasionally and I've kept EVERY single letter he sent me

I actually MET Michael Alig in person - well, I visited him in jail every day for 2 months back in 2004 talking loads so I think I got to know him quite well -then I moved to NYC & we lost touch a bit but he is still my friend; we write each other sometimes plus I will visit him again this summer after finishing Uni. He's actually a really nice guy once you get to know him so all you haters should grow up and get a life!!!!!

@BrentDThurman If they can be resuscitated, it does come with a wrap up story. I've never OD'd because I wasn't stupid and I was very careful with dosage levels, my friends however, were quite reckless and stupid and OD'd many times. What's ironic is they never learn either. They just keep OD'ing. Sooner or later you don't come back. The term overdose doesn't mean death, it simply means more than the body can handle. A fatal overdose is the only one that doesn't come with a story from the user.

Michale has been popped for drugs a bunch of times in prison and no way he'll stay clean very long once he gets out. He has a bad back in prison and was caught with pain killers in his system. He could've gotten out in late 2006 if he didn't get popped so many times for drugs. He's a sweet person and I talked to him many times at Limelight and Red Zone way back in the day. I hope i'm wrong but Michael has that addictive personality. He'strying to convince himself that he can kick drugs.

@mayaelektranord Michael hasn't been in prison for 20 years. 6 years less than that. People in my state get alot more than 20 years for what he and his friend did to Angel. He only got less time because he helped the FBI in their case against his former boss. He and Freeze could've gotten 30 years if they didn't cooperate,.

@HayakazeKorona Well actually it was Freez that hit Angel in the head, but it was only because he was attacking Michael. I believe what followed was panic, worry and guilt. We weren't there. We don't know what happened exactly, and we don't know what Michael was feeling and thinking. I would never judge anyone for anything they do. I will always love Michael and he is a sweet person who had a really bad accident. He made a mistake, he knows it, he's paying for it. But he'll be with us again soon

In Deuteronomy, it says that if a man rapes a woman and is found out, the victim has to marry her rapist. Or, if a man rapes a woman, they could BOTH be killed for it. Jesus says nothing about same-sex behavior. The Jewish prophets are silent about homosexuality. Only six or seven of the Bible's one million verses refer to same-sex behavior in any way.

Families wouldn't be able to slay them for their sinful acts and they could undergo spiritual help. actually it's almost been 3 months in total when I visited him in Attica come to think of it... I one day went all the way over from England, rented a motel room for a while and walked up to the facility despite all the heavy snow Upstate NY on a daily basis; things became extremely friendly and he'll always have a special place in my heart. Like I said we write each other occasionally and I've kept EVERY single letter he sent me

To everyone who thinks he/she knows it all. I actually MET Michael Alig in person - well, I visited him in jail every day for 2 months back in 2004 talking loads so I think I got to know him quite well -then I moved to NYC & we lost touch a bit but he is still my friend; we write each other sometimes plus I will visit him again this summer after finishing Uni. He's actually a really nice guy once you get to know him so all you haters should grow up and get a life!!!!!

The whole nightlife and club scene is literally dead and replaced with strip malls, corporate offices and Starbucks chains. The city used to be dangerous to some degree and there was always an emerging underground scene filled with artists, designers, actors, etc. Today, it's become a whitewashed blank

However, the notion that he'll be out of touch with modern technology is just ridiculous A PC is as simple to operate as a television and iphones and such are no more complicated than CD players. In many ways, the computer software of today is simpler to use than older software since the interface is so user friendly. Ppl watch computers for the most part, they don't program them or write code. Alig will "adapt" in less than a week

Although in the later years the scene did turn for the sour, in the earlier years, the culture was thriving. I think he is a creative force who could change the world. Either way, you weren't the judge who had to decide his sentence. Michael is paying his price and is sorry for what he did. I just want him to have his second chance...
