  • @paul221983 Paul it was made for a friend of my in the States...AuroraKismet is her youtube user name!

You you check back through all the comments you will find her name, click on it and visit her channel ( when you are there say hello for me!)

  • The photo for Laois is in Durrow, Has nothing got to do with mountmellick which is at the other end of the county..

  • Should I just shorten the title it to Durrow then?

  • Yep that would fix it !

  • Hope that sorted it spud!...I found these photo's online and took the accompanying titles as being correct. Short of actually going to every place mentioned I had no idea if they where right or wrong!

  • Nice shot of Johns Bridge in Kilkenny. It looks a lot different now from that perspective. I've been in nearly every county and recognize quite a few of these places, but I still have a lot to see...or, I could just buy Photoshop. LOL

  • good video but I'm sorry to tell you that the photo of Banagher Co.Offaly is not correct. The main street of Banagher is straight with no bends...but good video all the same.

  • Not now it isn't...

  • Not now it isn't? meaning, you've changed the photos name? or there is a bend in the main street of Banagher? because the last I heard they didn't move the main street:) joking of course

  • I'm going to sneak into Banagher tonight and straighten the whole place with photo shop CS4...

  • You will be more than welcome.

  • Farewell, farewell to you who would hear

    You lonely travellers all

The cold north wind will blow again

    The winding road does call

  • Thanks for posting this. Lovely pictures and great music. What a place!

  • What a good idea - and what a good video too!

The tune and the choice of pictures were superb and it was all put together beautifully.

    Da Iawn - Fideo Hyfryd!

  • Great idea - enoyed this.

And the song of course - Sandy at her best...

  • Nice concept. These are old postcards?

The penultimate image of Ferrycarrig in Wexford, is interesting to me. The Castle on the right side is still there as is the tall thin 19th century roundtower on the left(which I once climbed into) built to commemorate Wexfordmen killed in the Crimea. The rocky outcrops they are on have a major road carved through them on either side of the bridge, and there is now a hotel almost next to the castle which I once worked in. Great stuff!

  • Wonderful Video. Who is the singer? She seems like the singer of Pentangle.

  • It's Sandy Denny singing "Farewell, Farewell" when she was with Fairport Convention.
