  • OMG!!!!! He said the N word and the P word and the F word. OMG!!!!

Let's spend the night together, now I need you more than ever, let's spend the night together now, ooh my my my my my my. Thank you Jellyroll for the inspiration to a nation.

  • Awesome. You fuckin idiots act like people didn't cuss or have sex or dirty thoughts back then.

  • His voice was flawless!

  • please please I beg the guitar tab: (

  • This is real musical talent, unlike the artificial, auto-tuned , digitized, overprocessed, beat-box commercial cut-and-paste crap that young people today are force fed.

  • Im Not a Fan of his singing songs, But im a Huge Fan Of his Piano songs, I could listen to the Crave and creepy feeling All day. This is To Nasty for me.

  • Is this for real?

  • @dirtynuke

Yeah, it's real, but the pitch is off. Turntable is dragging or something, his voice should be higher.

  • What. The. Fuck.

  • this is straight up raw.

  • Can you speed it up? It is too slow. That's not his real voice.

  • @pat7893 u got to thank him for being able to upload a video first lol

  • thank you

  • god 78rpm's so fast

  • Oh...my....

    O_o

  • coming to you from Jelly's childhood home in New Orleans...thanks, for posting...

  • awesome, never heard this version

  • One of the stills is George Tom Dorsey, not Jelly Roll...a minor quibble on a great upload :)...Georgia Tom became the gospel giant Rev. Thomas A Dorsey...Jelly Roll was a giant...I have a lot of the LP reissues of the Lomax sessions, but it's great to see the spinning 78...:)

  • A necessary evil...lol

  • Fantastic post.

    hanks for sharing.

  • Jelly Roll Morton was reuctant to play his Storyville songs for Lomax because they were "naughty". A lot of them were unreleased for years because Lomax was afraid he'd get in trouble.

  • King Jelly Roll is the master.

  • sweet!!!!! where was tipper??????

  • Holy smokes! I had no idea this song would end up being this way. In the beginning, you're enjoying Jelly Roll's gorgeous piano playing and bourbon-smooth singing voice, but then the lyrics smack you upside the head. Don't get me, wrong, I really liked it, and I even showed it to my friend. When he heard it, his jaw literally dropped!

  • I'm the Windin' Ball, don't deny my fuckin' name!

  • ...ew.

  • Thank you for posting this great tune.
