i used to fly in and out of here from bedford, ma when i was time building in a little p38 tomahawk. only got to use the big boy runway once or twice though.

I did most of my PPL training in Cessna 152's and PA-28's at PWM before the flight school closed, and I finished at Sanford Regional. It's not very busy at PWM. Main runway 11/29 is always available upon request if the tower instructs you to use the secondary 18/36. 11/29 was resurfaced, extended, and had upgraded ILS and centerline lighting installed a few years ago.  18/36 is due for rehab soon. It will also be getting ILS, and extended another couple hundred feet to the south..

Teufelhunden1488, Continental isn't a very big player at PWM. They only have four flights per day to EWR, and seasonal service to CLE. During the mid-afternoon when this was shot, there were no CO flights due in for several hours. So, no Q-400!

Hey when was this video taken? I was on vacation at Old Orchard Beach and I saw that jetBlue "Blue Yorker" A320 fly over head really low. I could see all of the windows and everything.
