Yeah Tyee golf course is good too if you get on top of the hill! And this is soo funny because I'd go plane-spotting near that fence all the time and never saw any other plane spotters haha. NOW they show up! haha
And how on eath were you able to find out when the good planes would come? I'd go there and never see anything but Alaskas and Horizons!

omg i can't believe people are actually taking me serious, i was just totally joking around, i was being sarcastic, i thought people would laugh at my comments and not take them seriously
I have noticed that when I look up flights to certain places, that almost none of them that fly out of Seattle use a Boeing 747. Makes no sense since they are built not too far from there
@hoseacanusee why does it have to be illeagl? I do believe filming during the day is safe at night too is safe but, as long as one doesn't use a laser to film
The first spot is right in front of the tunnel under the farthest runway to the right. you can see it in the video as planes take off and land on that runway.
yeah i went by there didnt know you coud stand right there.......................check my video out........................the spot i was recording at was at (THE FIRST PLACE) WAS right behind where you were............by the CAR SHOP/repair/idk...
Hi. The best place to plane spot is on the South side of the airport. To get there, you have to take 188th and turn onto 16th ave which is just behind the south runways (the ones in the video.) Just park on the side of the road, and walk onto the sidewalk. You get a pretty good view without the ladder, but if you do want to get the very best view, and don't want the fence in your way for a couple seconds, i would suggest bringing one.
thanks. I just went last night. I spotted from the north, then I went to were you were standing. And I didnt know were to park. Can you park on 16th ave? P.S. When does seatac usally use runway 34, cuz they used 16 all last night.
Ya, its fine to park on 16th ave as long as your not right next to the stop sign (i think you have to be 30 feet from the sign.) And as for using runway 34, it just depends on what direction the wind is blowing. There is no schedule for using runways. I usually check what runways they are using before i go.
Great video!

There are a couple of spots along Alaska way that are fun to use for plane spotting.
Does SPD or airport police give people grief for "spotting" this close to the airport?

Absolutely horrible waste of time location for photography. What a waste with so much clutter and junk blocking your view.

LH uses a A330 for Seattle-Tacoma? I would have guessed B744, they bring that into EWR.
nyy545 2 years ago
They fly the 747-400 and A340-300 to EWR too (:

@monzaman3232 IT depends which way the wind is blowing. Planes always takeoff and land into the wind.
