the best way to get the orange tip off is to soak it in hot water. not boiling. just pretty hot. wait 3 minutes try to remove it. remember clockwise looking at the front of the barrel removes it. its backwards to the standard screw. if it doesn't come off soak again for 3 minutes until u get it off. they put glue on it from factory. once its off clean the remaining glue out of the grooves.

And you don't need to justify the cause of why you're wanting to remove the orange tip. It's overall a really senseless regulation that serves absolutely no purpose.

Honestly if your wondering what it will sound like, take a water bottle and cut the bottom out. then put the end you drink out of over your barrel and that's pretty much how it will sound only the pitch will be diffrent.

Its actually really helpful, not just for astetics....

If you shoot, people will hear you. But with this thing on, they will actually search for cover, as you sound much closer than you are, and when they are covered, many of them stay under cover a long time, and this again, gives you time to aproach them, until you are inside of the effective range of your AEG :)
